I've just picked up a few nice cheap N64 games, your pickups are rather better in quality though I think. I want Ridge Racer 64 now!

Some quality additions there pete. Goldeneye cart came bundled with my system so i've never had the box, always wanted a copy for my shelf. Never played wave race despite how highly regarded it is. Maybe one for me to grab in the future 👍

We had a choices in our town in the east of england, very similar to block buster, rentals, sales snacks etc, on a friday you could have a look around both to see what to watch or play sadly both are long gone now

I always wanted to love Goldeneye but that was when I found out I can't play FPS games as I get terrible motion sickness Loved Ridge Racer when I got that when released, a bit different to control but when you get used to it it's brilliant, so annoying there is no Japanese version so I haven't got it these days Oh you saved the best till last, definitely the best game on the system by far for me and one of the greatest games ever made, the wave effects have never been bettered on anything I've played on later consoles Great stuff mate 👍

Yeah they are all good games. RR64 turned out well and Doom 64 was excellent. Played and finished Doom 64 and there are harder levels that open when you finish it if i remember right. 🙂

Can’t speak from more that 25 years ago but we had 2 Choices in Peterborough. Games/VHS rental etc, can’t really remember how widespread they were but South East based as far as I know. Lovely pickups and was pleasantly surprised with RR64.

Great haul here mate. Goldeneye and Doom 64 are absolute bangers. Wave Race 64 might be my favourite game on the whole console nowadays!

Living Daylights was quite fun on the c64 too but yeah Licence to Kill is a good game on c64 and Amiga , I dont know much about the N64 library, Ridge Racer looked nice though mate 👍

Nice haul sir, not sure if you know but there is a sd kart for n64, called “Summer cart 64” maybe worth a purchase to try out some games before purchase on the original hardware.

Fun fact.. the guys who made the ridge racer 64.. was their first game.. namco gave them the licence and was a young team.. I've gone N64 this month.. loving vanilla castlevania 64, completed expert f zero x.. & Decided to get mystical ninja 2 now.. because there was only 2 on eBay and non in CEX CIB ever 😢

Ridge Racer 64 was just released on Switch online. Played it for the first time two days ago and it was a lot of fun!

Awesome stuff mate! RR64 is one I’ve been curious about always thought it looked cool but thought it might control weird , might have to grab that one myself! Can’t go wrong with Bond games 😂! I’ve decided I want every Bond game for every console I own now, so a few more I need to buy 😂. Nice additions mate 😊

Wasn't expecting myself to make a cameo there, Pete 🤣 But yeah, I quite enjoyed Dead to Rights Retribution so definitely give it a try. I've not played Manhunt for years, probably since it came out to be honest. Makes sense getting the XBOX version if they improved the controls and as you say, the graphics/resolution is always likely to be bumped up for the XB as well. Nice, Outrun 2 - remember buying that from Gamestation back in the day. Still looks good, plays well...a classic really. One thing that surprises me looking back is just how many exclusives the original XB had - there are so many it's wild. It's not just quantity too, loads of them are excellent and well worth checking out.

Excellent pickups as always. Looking back, Sega and rareware were pretty much the key reason I wanted to get the original Xbox. I've always thought the Xbox and 360 had a phenomenal launch line-up. In fact looking back. All consoles from the 6th end 7th gen era had an excellent launch line-up.

I thought I had 187 ride or die in my collection but I didn't I had 25 to life. Completely different games so need to pick that one up. But want to play a military shooter beforehand so think I'm going to start Rising Sun. I believe you didn't care for that game lol but haven't played it in years as last time I played it I owned it on PS2. Hoping with the power of the OG Xbox it will at least look and run a bit better.

My mate gave me that gaming pc on the stipulation I had to play through Half Life 2 on it 😅 I'm looking forward to it though as it as it does look like an amazing game

Some nice pickups in that lot Pete, and especially well done on getting Manhunt for that price, I would have been tempted to just hit buy it now straight away in case someone else beat me to it🤣 Might surprise you to know, I've never played any Half Life game The stars of the show for me was obviously Outrun.... magnificent, it is a shame the 2nd one is so expensive these days HOTD also a great one, I still have my original lightgun from new, fairly sure it's a Madcatz, which is your typical G.con style gun Personally think Sonic Transformed is a great game 👍

Great pickups Pete love House of the Dead 2 on Dreamcast still need to play the 3rd one. I would definitely pick up Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed it's one of my favourite games on the 360 the first game Sonic All Stars Racing is great too 😊

Another good selection of pickups there and a cracking deal with manhunt. I could never get on Brute Force, I remember it being hyped up so much but I found it really underwhelming and never stuck with it for long Although House of the dead 3 isnt my favourite i still loved it, especially when you unlock House of the dead 2 on it!

Nice grabs mate! Love the cod games! I thought CoD 3 on ps3 played alright last time I played it, only annoying part was they made you use the motion controls of the six axis all the time do you had to all of a sudden break god the action to shake your pad around like a pair of maracas! Cheers for the shout out mate! Appreciate it! Banjo is an awesome game, tricky as hell to finish properly, last level was a right bitch to find all the collectibles! I used to have the Xbox sniper rifle, it’s a right old unit! Get arm ache after a while from holding it up 😂! Do love house if the dead 3 as well, got it downloaded on my ps3, awesome game! I enjoyed manhunt, even though I played it on ps2, and as mentioned the controls are a bit of an arse! Still a fun game, if you don’t mind suffocating people with carrier bags and stuff that is 😂! Btw, did you ever pick up the Bad Company games? Great to see you back in the flow mate, like you said feels like old times 😂!

Nice pickups dude. Agree on MW3, it’s a shame it didn’t get a remaster like the 1st 2, currently playing MW2 and it’s really pissing me off, lol. Crazy how prices are so different now, I remember getting HL2 for 99p and Manhunt in a 5 for £20 deal at Gamestation. I’ve just recently got a Steamdeck, Fear 2 and 3 were less than £3 each. The 360 Dead to rights is worth a buy, under appreciated game, there was also one on the PSP.

Brute Force is really good what I've played of it, just a horrendous front cover haha! And @BlueTonic78 Alex needs to make a YT comeback! Great pick ups mate.

Can the 100hz feature be disabled?

I’ve been also buying Xbox games but my Xbox has stopped reading the discs for some reason I need to buy another one. I have nearly every Demo disc from the Official Xbox Magazine and a good few games that only work on the original Xbox.

Marvel Nemesis is pretty good, I just found it to be pretty hard, or at least I did back in the day.

It's a great player. I use mine consistently for dvds on my HDTV. These HD-DVD players upscale DVDs really well

Man, I hope one day, maybe in retirement, I actually find the time to go back and play the 350 OG xbox I've got in the loft.. but all my limited gaming time these days is spent on PSVR2 lol Are you playing on a CRT or a modern telly? I seem to remember the OG looking really good on a CRT BUT it's optimised to look decent on higher rez screens, stuff like Otogi, is so detailed for the time. Kameo is legit awesome imo Condemned was SO scary!! I never finished that. Gotta do it one of these days

Yeah, same with CoD 2, brings back a lot of really good memories. The elation when I finished it on veteran back in the day was something else, not sure I'd have the patience do that these days as it was beyond brutal! Never sworn so much in my life 😂 Have you ever tried Dead to Rights Retribution on the 360/PS3? It's been quite a few years since I played it but I thought that was pretty good, not played the OG XB version though so I'll have to check that one out. Enjoyed the vid and the stripped back nature of it. There's certainly a time and a place for editing but sometimes it's nice to just press record and crack on, the old school way. Loved that reference there to saving up a few packages and opening them on cam, that really is the old school YT approach...needs to come back 🤣

Good to see u back! I personally think games often run better on the 360 rather than the ps3. So I normally opt for the 360 version. Alan Wake 2 is phenomenal!

Bloody hell, you’ve been busy mate! I’ve played tons of those, obviously the PlayStation versions, some absolute bangers in that lot! Once I’ve got my collection/set up to a state I want it, I think I’ll buy a 360 just for the exclusives, never really played any of the gears of war or halo games and they look awesome! Sounds like there’s a lot of those that you’ve got stuck on mate, need to pull your finger out and get them beaten 😂! Enjoyed that, looking forward to more soon!
