taemin is the best soloist that SM could have ever had in his hands, in the sense that he was very complete, with absolute mastery in dancing and creating immersive performances, high quality and deep concepts and fashion in his music. no other soloist did it like him until now. taemin is an artist with all his letters because of the good reputation taemin was gaining by the music critics and many idols started to cite him as their role model people started to call him “the AS of SM” only for years later SM wasted him and let him go so easily. taemin's works are very neat, GUilty is the most epic thing he did.

EXO's "History" MV is supposed to be an introduction for EXO and it was meant to begin to establish their storyline and concept as a group. To understand their "History" MV, here is what you need to know: As aliens from Planet Exo, the members are about to be sent to Earth on a mission. "History" is thought to be about how EXO are still on Planet Exo and they are preparing to be sent to Earth. So that is why it has a very futuristic look and feel to it. There isn't a whole lot of story because it's a pre-debut MV, so this was meant to just introduce the members and establish their concept. "History" is EXO's second pre-debut track. It was released in 2012 -- about 2 months after their first pre-debut song and MV "What is Love," and about 2 months before "Mama," which is EXO's official debut -- so this is more than 12 years ago. "History" is the introduction of the storyline and it explains what lead up to the events in "Mama." In the EXO-K version of "History" we only see the EXO-K (Korean) members -- Kai, D.O, Suho, Sehun, Baekhyun and Chanyeol -- singing, and in the middle of the song we see them flash to the EXO-M (Chinese) members -- Lay, Kris, Chen, Luhan, Xiumin and Tao -- however, if you watch the EXO-M version, you will see that the EXO-M members are the main characters in the story and they only show the EXO-K members briefly. This establishes how the two groups are separate and yet still are all part of one group as EXO. Both versions of their MVs may look the same on the surface, but the story is slightly different because it is being told from a different angle or another perspective in each version. Fun fact: If you compare the English translation of the Korean and Mandarin lyrics, you will see that the songs are slightly different. Because, as the intro to "Mama" points out, the two halves of EXO stand on the same ground and see different things and they stand on different grounds and see the same thing -- they are separate groups and yet they become one, etc. Hence, their songs and story are the same and yet different. The song is called "History" and in the lyrics they talk about making history. It's about failing at something and trying again to make it right. So, the theory is that in this part of the story EXO made some sort of unknown "big mistake" on their planet, so they have been sent to Earth to try and right their wrongs by trying to prevent the Red Force from causing a "big mistake" or prevent humanity from allowing a "big mistake" to happen on Earth. (Which now might be explained by the meteor that is hurtling toward Earth in EXO's new "Let Me In" MV storyline.) They are trying to prevent "History" from repeating itself. And they want to make "History" here on Earth. It establishes the whole reason why EXO are fighting against the Red Force and why they need to find the Tree of Life and restore peace. They can't let whatever happened on their planet happen again on Earth, etc. The part of the dance where they put their hands in their pockets and shake their pants, I interpret as the nervousness and uncertainty that they are feeling as they are about to embark on this new journey as they prepare to go to Earth and also as a representation of the nerves and excitement they are feeling as they are about to debut. As you can see, even the choreography is designed to tell the story. However, just so you know, we didn't fully understand that was what the MV and song was trying to tell us, until several years later, after we had more context to go on after we had several other MV stories and more information. But that is why we say, if you want to try and follow EXO's story you have to pay attention to everything and you have to remember as much detail as you can about everything you have ever seen and heard from EXO. Because although you might think you understand one piece of EXO's story, with every new release from EXO, we get a little more information, and, sometimes it helps to confirm what we thought to be true and sometimes it turns the whole theory on its head and makes us realize what was happening wasn't what we thought after all. To see their dancing better, if you haven't already, check out the dance practice for "History," the choreography is very unique. They have an EXO-K dance practice and an EXO-M dance practice. And it's one of their few choreographies where the two groups are not combined because they were completely separate groups in these MVs. Baekhyun's dancing is iconic? Only Baekhyun's dancing stands out in this MV? I'm pretty sure they are all dancing together, what makes Baekhyun's dancing any different from any of the rest of the members?

Got7 had a comeback in 2022. Then two members went to the military, they just got off in novembe 2024. They also all have successful solo careers with albums and tours, Jackson has performed two times at Coachella and had a world tour, same for Bambam who is the first idol to fill up the Rajamangala stadium in Thailand ( 50 000 seats), JB had a world Tour too... Jinyoung is a successfull actor who has received several prices, Youngjae is a well known MC at MBC radio and had a leading role in several musicals, Yugyeom was also on a tour with AOMG artists, same with Mark who was touring the US, Europe and Asia. They're all pretty busy so it took them 3 years for this comeback. They also made History as idols, cause they left JYP in 2021 even tho they were all offered a new contract they decided to go on their own path, they still managed to keep all the group trademarks ( the group name, the songs, the sub units...), and they made a comeback in 2022 with a self produced album and the whole group intact, even tho they were all signed in different agencies. When it comes to the song I don't think it's a K-pop concept about being heartbroken, the whole MV is full of easter eggs refering to their old mv's and songs, it's about their journey as artists and how they lost a little bit of their joy and playfullness in the process . In the mv they go from being in private jets and limousine in suits to a tunnel who bring them to a playground, having fun in casual clothes ( the setting is very similar to their 2018 Miracle mv ) but it's like a fever dream and at the end Bambam ( who wrote the song) wakes up in a private jet with his members, peopke cheering outside, and paparazzis flash lights. The members since they've been doing a lot of solos all around the world have talked several times about missing their rookie days when they were having fun and spending a lot of times together.

got7 has had this sound for a long time. yes, they have hype title tracks but they've had plenty of b sides that have the same vibe as this comeback. got7 was one of the most popular 3rd gen boy groups up there with seventeen, monsta x, seventeen, etc. so they're already cemented in the industry as both a group and soloists
