I saw him live several times. Every show was amazing, His energy was incredible, his skill was off the charts, and his sense of humor was contagious. If the audience seems tame, it's because they are messmerized - I know I was.

First heard him play in Baltimore when he was a member of the Lotus band. He was a level above. Later saw him play several times in Baltimore at “The Horse You Came in On” and actually passed the hat for him. Everyone knew he was remarkable, but we didn’t know he was going to go as big as he did!.

I saw Michael Hedges in Pittsburg with my former husband and he sang this song and it stole my heart and touched my soul. It stays deep in my being. Very special song that holds a special place & meaning in my heart. Most beautiful song ever. We were able to meet MH and he was nothing but completely kind. Miss MH and his music & unmeasurable talent.

I was the junior member at an alternative radio station that brought Michael to town. As the Jr member, it was my place to stay at the venue after set up and sound check. Michael was opening for shadowfax and was late. I was the only one in the theater when he showed. It was an honor to hang out with him for a couple of hours before the show. He had a white river guitar that he played while we waited. Magical.

I just heard him for the first time within the last 20 minutes. I'm glad too because I didn't know that there were others with this sound. Previously, I had listened to Phil Keaggy and Billy McLaughlin that have similar sounds.

Alot of folks here crediting his style as original. Make no mistake Michael Hedges was a great and he brought his own uniqueness to this style. But if you think he was the first or even the best -- I would say look around. If you like his stuff, check out someone in our time like Mike Dawes "The Impossible" or Stanley Jordan. And don't forget others who helped develop this style of playing like Phil Keaggy or even before either Michael or Phil, there was the legendary Italian, Vittorio Camardese (b. 1920s) or even Jimmy Webster (b 1908). You like this stuff? Go deep and be encouraged that many incredible talents were doing it before Michael and are doing it today with equal or greater complexity!

This is an incredibly elegant composition. I can think also of Kottke's 'The Ice Miner' as another one that has a similar elegance combined seamlessly with complexity.

She is waiting for us, even though we have turned away. I am listening to this remarkeable song as military jets fly over with their dumb exercises -- desperate to push past Her. "Reason" alone will never get us there.

He was/is my favorite acoustic player. Sounds like a mini orchestra with just one instrument and no effects or amps. A lot of emotion & technique as well, not a traditional acoustic player at all.

I didnt remember how he died just new it was a car wreck only to find out he visited my homeland on long island NY to see his girlfriend only to go home & die tragically driving in the rain. He was such a beautiful being & a wholesome soul. Genuine & sincere is how i will remember him. Can only thank him for sharing himself with us

How many people on this earth would even begin to know what to do with that? I am very impressed with this man's music. The really weird part, I'm 74, and only just now, this instant, am discovering this man. I just happen upon a link to a concert he did at Red Rocks. I've feel as tho I have been cheated somehow. This is a pure example of proof, that I have been operating for all these years at such a low consciousness level. I guess now, maybe, things in that department must be improving. - - - - _ _ _ _ _ F I N A L L Y ! y'all have a beautiful day.

Brilliant. I first heard of Michael when Aerial Boundaries played on a local New Age radio station (1986). Found out he was a graduate of Phillips University in Enid, OK. Later attended a concert in Tulsa with his music professor - piano and guitar music. I still have his Aerial Boundaries CD. My meteorology background caused me to play Aerial Boundaries loudly outside while watching cumulus supercells develop on hot summer afternoons totally cosmic experience. Rickover's Dream also...

My favorite version of the song. While I appreciate his choice to record it as more of a studio-produced type of song on his album, I really wish we had a studio recording of this version also.
