I'm gutted now: I was at a German Beer House themed pub a couple of days ago and they had this on the menu, but they'd run out of it, so I had to settle for the Schneider Weisse instead (still a good beer mind you but I would have liked to try something new).

I hated this one tbh. It tastes way too much of clove. Edit: apparently they changed leffe a year ago and that’s why I remember the alcohol version being good a few years ago but this being shit

This is one of my favourites along with Old Peculier, Speckled Hen, Riggwelter ( also Black Sheep 😉) and Old Tom. 😋👍

Dark with a mahogany color and beige foam that slowly falls. The aroma and taste are dominated by notes of roasted malt, caramel, foam, dark chocolate, cocoa and vanilla. In the background, subtle notes of lactose and milk chocolate. Saturation in the lower regions, moderate sweetness.

That butterscotch ale sounds like something i would like, good stuff dude, can't say i ever played warhammer but i did get a starter pack of space marines, love the artwork, would be great if they incorporated some into the design in the bottles.

For me aroma is promising with a sweet mix of citrus and exotic light skin fruits - pomelo? Taste is bland and dissapointing, grapefruit albido bitterness diluted with mineral water. If flavor could be like aroma it would be OK.

You can have a pint of it in the Craft Pub Co pubs in London for £46 a pint but a third is enough.

Cloudy with a yellow color and white, exuberant foam. Sweet tropical fruits dominate, with mango and passion fruit at the forefront, pine accents. A bit of resin, grass, leaves, grain. Citrus not very active. Medium carbonation, bitterness in the lower regions. Pleasant, resinous.

this is why 'All Hail the Ale' is a keeper, you bow and pay respect to the really great beers, this is one of them. a great review of a beer that is far too strong for me but i have shared a few and understand everything you say.... bravo mate.🙏

Golden color, clear, white foam, medium abundant, medium durability. Malty, wort-like in aroma. Malty, sweetish in taste. Low bitterness, medium carbonation, leaves a feeling of wort and corn, watery body. A sipper without any alcohol. Nothing special. Without flaws or merits.

I think it's a pretty decent ale, has a fruity noise, a mild malty and fruity taste, i wouldn't pour it and get a head on it like that. The second pour is the head you should drink it with.

"....it tastes like lager ", who wants to cross examine a drink, it either gets u pissed or a nice pub pint.. who smells a beer nowadays ?.... or even perfect on a hot day, needs to be cold though.... Everyone has their own opinion and tbh who listens to beer review, just buy and enjoy

After drinking Black Sheep since they began its a shame how the beer quality has diminished. The investors who save the company are using less quality ingredients and it shows especially in their casks..maybe the bottle beers are better, cheers

I've got a Hoppin Frog in my advent calendar this year (not sure which one it is but it's a very small can (like less than 330ml)) - can only read the brewery through the wrapping. Can't wait based on this!

Cloudy with a pale yellow color and white foam that falls quite quickly. The aroma and taste are dominated by citrus notes, a bit of lemon zest, white stone fruit with an emphasis on apricots and peaches. In the background grass, lemon grass, wheat graininess. Low carbonation, moderate bitterness, diffuse flavors. Average.

Just tried - not bad/not great; 100% not an IPA more ruby, there’s no hoppy notes or fruit - at a push grapefruit but mostly malt. It beats greene king ipa 😂

Christ that pours like treacle! The sign of a good stout but I think that would a bit too much for me!

Have you done a review of the Frosty Jacks on tap in Wetherspoons? Tim Martin has to be applauded for making his pub chain a welcome sanctuary for much loved English ales, ciders and bitters.

Same for me every beer I have had from The Kernel has been great, they seem to have a real knack of producing great stuff from pales to dark beers. Their saisons and Brett beers are great as well. Good value as well.

No question in my opinion that yeast has to be swirled and put in there! Makes the beer much better. Nice beer either way, cheers!

I'm in the process of building a box with them which I'll get delivered next month ready for Christmas.

First Mash Gang beer I had. Loved it. Lots of reviews saying it's drainpour and too bitter. Found the bitterness to be something like Arrogant Bastard Ale but not as overpowering. Maybe too many people have been on the juicy IPA train too long. The bitterness subsides after a couple of sips then the dankness kicks in heavily similar to Stone IPA. Wonderful beer and sad it's no longer available as Mash Gang appears to only brew in irregular small batches.

Simon martin craft beer channel done a article on this earlier this year,go to Lidl and they sell the czech version, on back it will say imported into uk by Lidl stores . nicer than the burton upon trent one in my opinion ,grat review.

Sam Smiths make great beer.

I really like this one. It appeared in a mixed box I'd randomly ordered. However when I looked to source a few more I found it was sold out in most places, one with an ominous message that the next batch wasn't expected until 2025. I trolled the internet and found a place in Scotland with 16 cans left. They don't have them now ;) I find one of these in the evening and I sleep like a baby. Psychological? Who knows. Great review as always!

Recived my oder today from wise bartender tasted this today personally not for me has a strange after taste but some part off me likes a litte bit off this beer was a strange one i will say the body feels more like a real beer great balance hopefully there is some 0,5 i like out there dunno if it was beucase its 0,5 rather than 0.0 that it feels more like a reel beer or beucase its unfiltered

A blend of this and the organic chocolate version would make a great video as personally i find the chocolate stout just too sweet.
