Looks good, can the two lanes run in the opposite direction.

Yes. I wired it so that that the cars can run in opposite directions as they would on real roads or both lanes in the same direction.

How is the car made to stop when the train is passing? Is there some sensor or device, or was it done manually?

It's done manually. The cars are controlled with hand controllers.

@@OgaugeTrainsplusslotCars Thank you. I used some vintage Tyco slot car/railroad crossing pieces and some adapter track. Luckily I was able to find the vintage pieces on E-Bay. You've got some nice pieces on your layout too.

@@danayoung8969 kool.I can't wait to get my Carrera digital remote control slot car starter set.And start building highways and streets into my layout.124 scale in good for ogauge.I like the way you have your layout hooked up.You can make a larger railroad with that scale.Take care and stay tuned
