Why do you run prius calipers? Are they bigger or better in some way?

@HiRevRacing aluminium, so ligher and disperse heat better. Bigger piston so gives more front bias and more bite, and you can run MR2 track pads.

Looks like a slightly shorter final drive ratio would raise your average speed around the track by a noticeable margin.

A sub tonne mid-engined MR2 is going to have a higher corner speed than a 1.3 tonne Type R but slower speed on the straights. I've sat in the passenger seat of the Type R and can tell you the driver DOES know how to drive and that, yes, it is bloody quick on the straights. You should upload some footage from your track days at Oulton onto your page.

I think 4th for cascades, 3rd for hislops would make it smoother... 2.00.7 and lodge was messy! 100% you can do this. It's a promise!!

Hi mate - I'm in the FK2 - some proper fun laps there. The Civic has quite a few mods and is running 400bhp according to the dyno. You carry so much more speed through the corners though. I've got some footage following you from my Go Pro as well.

Hello. What oil pan are you using? Do you experience any oil pressure drops? I have custom made baffled oil pan and have problems with pressure drops. Thanks

Hi, oil pan is from Elise parts. No oil pressure issues, saying that I dont have a gauge so maybe but I doubt it as the 2zz is very sensitive to oil pressure drops and would result in bottom end failure very quicky on track at 8k+rpm.

@@MRS-2ZZ Thanks for the answer. I have custom made baffles from a respectable shop. But sometimes I got pressure drops to 2.5 bars. But car runs fine.

Great driving!! The mini kind of messed you up and you totally had him on cornering speed but of course he just walked away and the course seems to have a decent amount of straights and big sweepers. I bet you might have gotten him on a really tight circuit!

Considering the 2AR has a lot more displacement to work with the 2ZZ did pretty good staying as close as it did. Which transmission was the 2ZZ using? The final drive could make a big difference pulling out of the corners. C60 has lower final drive than the Euro six speed.

@stevenbitecofer6831 I'm on the C60. It's not suited to 225 45 15 rears at this track. 225 45 16 are much better. A slight increase in FD makes all the difference. Use 3rd in slower corners and 5th on the straights. You can't get away from the 2AR-FXE torque though.

@@MRS-2ZZ When you state a slight increase in FD makes all the difference are you referring to the c60 4.3 vs the euro 3.9? Or are you stating that a lower drive like a 4.5 on the c60 would be better? Asking since I have a euro c66 that Ive been thinking about swapping a 4.5 into which would make for some slightly larger spacing between gears vs the c60 but would still be better than how it is now.

Hiya mate, missed out the description front and rear whiteline ARBs. Front full stiff, rear middle setting. Hope this helps.
