Very cool on the tool-less design! Any updates on the ETA of the expansion valve?

You have managed to bring something completely different and completely new to the market. I am absolutely in love with this design. I would like to know from you what the differences are between Paradigm PTX and Caramatech Sar x? How much can you achieve with this piece of gold?
@pauleitel35882 ай бұрын
The function of the launchers are almost identical. The main difference is the PTX is upgraded to fire at 350 FPS not the 280 FPS that the SarX fires. The optics are different as they are engineered to match the FPS of the launcher. The PTX is designed specially for home and self defense and the SARX is not.

Why do you screw the tank in with launcher in the on position? Is it just so you dont over tighten the tank for the proper on/off function?
@paradigmtacticalsystems21053 ай бұрын
Yes, you can over tighten the tank, which can mess up the switch. This will end up causing your air tank to free flow all your air out. If the rifle (launcher) has no air pressure on it, you will need to reset it by pushing the on/off button to the on (left) position, followed by screwing in the tank as shown on the video. This will ensure the tank is seated correctly and the rifle (launcher) is functioning correctly. Once the air tank is seated and the launcher is charged, you can push the on/off switch as many times as you desire.

When will the more powerful valve be available? Can you explain how the closed bolt searless trigger system works?
@paradigmtacticalsystems21053 ай бұрын
I will try and do a quick video to show how the closed bolt valve works. Because it is a closed bolt system, it does not have the PSI pressure slamming forward to hit the projectile. It has a safety anti-chop system. On an open bolt (standard) launcher, if the projectile misfeeds, the bolt will crush the projectile. Ours will usually stop the projectile from being damaged or crushed. I will show this in the video by putting my finger in the breach and pulling the trigger. There will be no damage to my finger. Do not attempt this test with any other launcher, as it could cause severe damage to your finger.

Is that safe to be screwing the barrel in with your hand covering the muzzle with it aired up?
@paradigmtacticalsystems21054 ай бұрын
Good catch-of course you should not put your hand in front of the barrel when it is charged up. However, even if the launcher IS inadvertently fired when the barrel is removed, the round will just fall out of the chamber with zero velocity. Without the barrel being screwed in, the gun is harmless. In fact, this is actually a great way to break in the launcher without wasting rounds-remove the barrel, engage the air tank, and fire away! As you know, there is a mechanical safety switch located by the trigger and there is an on/off air switch. The safety prevents the trigger from engaging, while the on/off air switch charges/de-gasses the gun. Both render the PTX “safe”, but in different ways. You can absolutely engage the trigger safety switch as needed.
@BonesDT4 ай бұрын
@@paradigmtacticalsystems2105Are you sure about that? According to manual, the trigger safety is strictly mechanical and does not de-gas the gun.
@paradigmtacticalsystems21054 ай бұрын
@@BonesDT Please forgive the confusion. I was referring to the air on/off switch, not the mechanical safety. Please see edits to my original response.

No matter the launcher guys they need to break in. I remember Daves exact words….”go out and shoot this thing”. If you don’t shoot it, you are not practicing enough regardless of the device chosen. Two fold…break in your launcher and become familiar with it while having a little fun.

Thanks for the suggestion! There’s a lot that goes into our engineering and design decisions, and although there are always tweaks we or others may consider, the process to make changes requires a LOT of time, testing, and financial resources. We’ll certainly keep your idea in mind as we continue to perfect our launchers.

You are correct in that no one is using this for personal defense. This particular model is for law enforcement only, and we have several departments utilizing them. We get that parts of the video are a little goofy--we're not good at being (or imitating!) the bad guys! ;)

@@paradigmtacticalsystems2105 I mean I like the concept but nobody’s gonna be using a bolt action pepperball rifle. The other rifles you guys have reach just as far and fire faster and at a higher round capacity.
@PenTheMightyАй бұрын
@@thisiconisactuallygoofysfa9960 The idea, I think, is that you want to be able to hit your target from as far away as possible. Remember, LTLs are used on suicidal people, as well as aggressive or violent individuals. You don't want to kill someone trying to commit suicide by cop and in a stressful situation, being able to carefully take aim and hit them in a less than vital spot is critical. Also, some of those LTLs with higher capacities jam or sheer rounds; worse than having a failure to fire, having the pepperball round split in half and either veer off to the side or just hit with minimal material can mean that the individual feels more emboldened and isn't incapacitated. I was working on one just today that took the top off a Pepper round and left the rest in the magazine. A bolt action ensures the round is seated properly and will shoot. There is a method to the madness.
@thisiconisactuallygoofysfa9960Ай бұрын
@@PenTheMighty I’m just saying that because my department is so under funded and broke for us that we would never have a luxury to purchase individual weapons based on scenarios like this. We’re still rocking the Remington 870’s just with orange tape and bean bags, and the occasional 40 mil for the bitchy supervisor lol

You will sell more in that color than in Home Depot orange :-)
@paradigmtacticalsystems21054 ай бұрын
We love the green, too! :) But since we sell both for both personal AND law enforcement, and since there are some important differences between the two, there must be an obvious difference in color scheme, also. In real life, the orange is (thankfully!) a bit darker than "Home Depot" orange...but we get that it's close. ;) Color preferences aside, it was a decision made for the safety and comfort of our customers, who want it obvious that the weapon is less lethal.
