This was a peak C2 moment to me. C3 doesn't have a "figure out the web of intrigue" character, and it's a huge deficit to the team.

Let's put something into mind, here just for fun and i could grab SOMETHING NICE.. for the 3 campaing! AT the 4:46 min, Marisha talking about what VESS DErogna (don't remember spelling her name..sorry) but she came with something that its resonating NOW in the new campaing. What it may sugest, that Ludinus was already into something even there. When Marisha says about weponary* that Vess was all about, is.. that this thing.. COULD DESTROY EVEN A GOD! (Why would they want this?) The War was just a justification for them for looking something into AEOR, bcuzz as we now know is that LUDINUS is pre that shit! What was he doing back then? What he desired so much even there. His plan is crazy as the time he have been persuing this crazy idea. And here Marisha scratched the iceberg surface. I know much more people could have seen this and noticed before me... i just thought this crazy as realizing now, completely random in my lunch time. Sorry for who will reed this at some point..English is not my first lenguage at all. At the point of 12:30 min matt is about to start a claime as some flashback about the "GUN" that can destroy gods, cuz it was a STUDY BACK THEN!! Even in AEOR they were already into something about divinity. *

This edit really shows all the shine that campaign 2 has to offer. What a victory lap for Beau and Marisha. This is such an incredible show.

Marisha is an amazingly good player. She is applying her own natural intelligence and attention to detail to her character - basically a trained monk-spy. This is not a thing she would have done playing Keyleth. She played Keyleth so well that people hated on Marisha because they assumed that Marisha had Keyleth's characteristics. Yeah, no. Marisha is smart and a good actor - that makes her an excellent RPG gamer.

I remember watching this battle the next morning after the stream and smacking my head when Liam said fucking Disintegrate. Spells were rebounding off this monster and Liam/Caleb knew that... soooo he cast the one spell that makes a creature turn to ash and be gone basically for good while all his friends were around it and low on health. Liam is usually a smarter player than this lol

The beauty of Disintegrate is if the target rolls a critical failure, they take max damage. So Vokodo didn't take 70 something damage, he took a helluva lot more.
@TheEthanEdge4 ай бұрын
no they just take the 10d6+40 force damage if they fail or roll a 1.

@@deathbykonami5487 hey every one makes mistakes, no big deal. It's better to inform so people can improve rather than belittle a person for not knowing the rules to a game. as an extra side note, critical fails and critical successes only work on attack rolls in 5th edition dnd. on Saves and checks they're just low and high numbers.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA/CAMPAIGN 1 AND MINOR SPOILERS/BEHIND THE SCENES INFO FROM CAMPAIGN 2 So the issue with this fight is that the enemy, Vokodo, had an ability to deflect spell attacks to other players if he rolled a certain range (idk what that range is). Caleb cast Disintegrate, which is an extremely powerful spell, does tons of damage, and if it knocks a creature to 0 HP or below, the body of the creature is completely disintegrated, meaning that it would take a 9th Level True Resurrection (and 25,000 gold) or a Wish spell to bring them back to life. The party was many, many months away from having access to that level of magic. So, had Matt rolled well for Vokodo’s save, one of the Mighty Nein would have likely died permanently, and Matt revealed later that he would have sent it to Jester, which would have killed her, and emotionally wrecked Caleb forever. Also, the flashback clip was from the first Campaign, Vox Machina. Liam’s character Vaxildan got hit by a Disintegrate spell and was killed, thus his body turned to dust. However, Vax had a deal in place with the Matron of Ravens that he couldn’t die until a certain enemy was killed or forever sealed away. However, up to that point, Vax had not died, so nobody knew for sure if he would actually come back, especially bc he didn’t have a body anymore.

I honestly don't think Matthew would let anyone die this way so I wasn't super worried since the creature had to roll, and Matthew just didn't have to let it auto reflect onto a party member.
