Dam. I hope this doesent happen to me lol. I often check my rims to see if they are spinnning straight and no wobble. Also balence and use weights to even out the wobble at high speed. I dont hit any serious potholes or anything. But still

Not at all, you void your warranty and the engine isnt made for this much torque, hence the speed limiter.

I have done 28.5mph without the chip but that was giving everything I had on a slight down hill, I physically couldn't get any faster as the motor seems to restrict with how fast you can peddle.

I had the same problem. I tried to bend it back, but I ended up breaking off a piece of the rim. I glued it back with a very strong epoxy and it works fine, but the wheel wobbles a little bit and the scooter starts shaking over 35 kmh.

One thing to remember is chipped bikes go through battery power a lot quicker than none chipped. Food for thought if you have a lot of up hills.

That is pretty impressive I think you would have gone faster but you ran out of gears but then again if you up the gearing you lose out on climbing ability which is more important on a mountain bike.

Yep. Managed to fix it all up. Couldn’t remove dent, but still worked like new.

Just don’t. It will become a full on mc in the eyes of the law, would u get on a mc without insurance tax or mot what happens if u injure someone civil claim good buy house job etc bizzies switching on to this fast look at min 6 points and poss ban not to mention large fine worth it ?

But the same ppl are bleating about the lawlessness of drivers (which is 100 correct) and in no other aspect would usually break the law I lost a colleague last week head on van, van wrong side of the road !! This just makes the roads more unsafe with the following consequences.

I don't suppose you could post a video of how you got your chip inside the motor housing on this bike? I've got the same bike but am unsure how to install. Do I have to take the crank arms and chain ring off?

The slime blue one is heavy duty, when you ho more than 30mph. Cost more but its spot-on. Green is for under 30mph.

Sadly it was stolen like 8 months in. I changed suspension (my fault) and quite a few punctures over that time. Then bought an electric bike. Then sold that and I’m back on a kaabo mantis 10 which I love

How bad does the chip effect the battery and motor?

Depends on your driving style. 100% support is 100% battery eater. And even with the chip, 100% engine support does not become 150%. If you can only drive 25 kmh you always try to drive a little bit faster than the limiter allows, so you help a little more and the consumption is a little lower From a speed of around 30 kmh, the motor always provides 100% support and the battery is quickly drained. With my Hardnine 10.0 (Yamah Pw-X) I can do about 35 kilometers in the highest support mode. It makes no difference whether you drive up a hill at 10 km/h with permanent 100% motor assistance or drive straight ahead at 45 km/h with 100% motor assistance. Basically, the battery consumption is higher with a chip, because you constantly try to drive at the limit because it's so much fun ^^

I may be to late to this video but i would go for the peartune chip if it fits your bike, i have a haibike sduro hardseven 5.0 with the peartune chip on a straight fastest i have gotten is aprox 35mph but that isnt to often, but it is super easy to coast along at 25mph, i dont see the point in spending £2500 on a bike only to go about 16mph
