My theory is aliens brought them to Area 51 and put one in Socorro. 🤷‍♂️🫡😅. On a serious note, since figs are more native to the Mediterranean and Europe, they HAVE to have been brought over. I do think it is possibly the same as Bourjassotte Gris brought over by someone from old continent.

Do you fertilize it? I have an olive tree in a pot that I've had for several years. It's become totally stagnant. It doesn't grow, the branches are kind of thin, but it doesn't look Ike it's dying either. I want to promote new growth but don't know how.

Did you solve your issue? Usually removing old branches that aren’t doing so hot will promote growth in other parts of the plant

I'm on zone 6/7. When I cover my rosemary with milky clear plastic bags, there's too much condensation that never dries out and causes the outer needles to be constant wetness and some of those needles are turning black. But most of the plant still looks good. I wonder if there's anything else I can use to cover, where it won't trap moisture but trap the ground's warmth and still let in some sunlight?

I’m in CA and have loads of trouble with Figeater beetles. We tried the organza bags. They ate right through them. Best method we’ve found so are is our 8 year old granddaughter who loves to capture these bugs. She uses a wide mouth plastic Cooke jar, opens the lid and puts the fig a accompanying beetle in the jar. She then shakes them in and screws the lid on. Works like a charm.
