It's cool how this book is more about the sins of a small-town than just a shark 🦈. The shark just exposes those sins (and desires)

Interesting take on the book. A lot of movie fans hate the hell out of the book because of the mean characterization. I love the movie, no doubt, but I feel like the book can get really overlooked by it. Hell, the iconic poster for the film called it the terrifying no.1 best seller. Give it a break.

Why do interviews always ask the exact same questions that every other interview asks them? It is so refreshing when interviews ask the same questions. I keep hearing the same thing almost everyone interview I find with him.

The way that Chuck talks is so polite, so gentle, that you can see why his characters are so explosive, so violent, so much he has inside his mind, but he doesn't reflect it in real life. I love all Chuck's books.

I want to shake her and smack her. If I wanted to listen to SCREAMING, sobbing like someone who is in the terrible twos, or has just suffered a loss so horrendous, I won't mention the details, I would replay growing up with verbally abusive asshats. Delivering someone else's words means lighting that up. Not making a listener Google YOU to see if you cracked your skull open whilst over- emoting. People who ruin books really are awful. Read reviews at Audible - it's not just me.

"Script - I mean manuscript! " This may be the problem. I will definitely read this book myself and skip your out of control emoting.

after my sisters death, the first book i read was invisible monsters. before then i had no way to express my struggle between resentment from my parents idolizing a sibling who'd lost their life to an inescapable disease and missing her to the point of reevaluating my own identity. i was borderline suicidal and i owe my shift in mentality to chuck. he changed my life and i wish more than anything to meet him and thank him

Just finished Be Frank With Me, and Tavia just nailed every character. Not once was I ever confused as to which character was speaking, as can sometimes happen with audio books. Tavia just earned an Audie for Best Female Narrator 2017. Way to go! My new favorite narrator.
