I coffee dye all the time, <3 I use the left-over coffee, and like your instant coffee idea! Also I add iridescent acrylic inks to the coffee...that makes it really cool! I too have so much family ephemera... I had to build a fire-proof room in my house! Also-- back to the 1830s... Pfew... Love love your stuff!

Thank you! The more I have learned about oil painting it seems I have "lost" that spontaneity and freedom in painting and courage to explore. Nuts....but I know that is what is missing in my paintings. Backgrounds of portraits have always been my struggle. Often the background takes longer than the face itself! So I will explore with creating backgrounds first.

Wow! Mystical, why don’t you? I think he’s whimsically dignified like a poetic archduke or sultan. He once sat on the iron throne, I’m sure of it. I actually hoped for a medallion around his neck as a sign of rank. Really, when I watch art being made, my brain makes me a lovely story. Thanks for painting beautifully. 💜💜💜

I absolutely love this video. Your words as much as the art. My painting and drawing is about unlocking that inner child while outdoors in nature. All my paintings have begun as a playful experiment with no clear direction. I thought I was alone until I saw this. Thank you so much. ❤

I like it. And I really like to see artist bringing their own down on canvas. I have a huge respect for poeple who are painting realistic. But do more prefor the "unic" style. Art is awsome becouse of its diversity. I am not really a painter, but when I draw/paint I always go by my way.

Watshing it again after 2 years, I really hope Johnny Depp will see that one day. It is stil as awsome as it was 2 years ago. 😁😉
