I have been working in Auckland libraries for over a year now. I had been visiting libraries since I was a child. I’ve used school libraries and uni libraries for study. Now seeing what is it like on both sides, the world of the library is soo much more than books. It’s about community and collective knowledge. Libraries are worlds within a world. I couldn’t imagine a world without libraries.

What Wai262 actually is: Wai262 is a registration process to lodge claims with the Waitangi Tribunal. So when our 6 Maori leaders lodge this claim in the 1990 they were given a number 262 that was the order of the claim they presented. The claim itself dealt with firstly an all Government approach enquiry into aggrevince that maori had raise, this was the very first time that the tribunal had enquired into an all Government

Nice style of presentation. People should think of how liberal thinking has changed the values in society that were strong before the 1960s.

Very interesting presentation. At the start, Mhairi inferred that the New Zealand arm of EY back in the early 1990's still had a "bricks and mortar" special library servicing the needs of EY staff. Does EY in New Zealand or any other country still have "physical" libraries, or is all information now provided digitally online? How do information professionals such as librarians or library technicians fit into this new "digital" model? Are their skills and competencies transferable to the new EY structure, maybe in the areas of "Empowering self service", "On-demand learning" and "Knowledge help"?
