Honestly I think a lot of the issues were caused by the inconsistency of the first series of yugioh that portrayed the card game.

The pendulum scales in the anime are put High to Low.

Combining these Exodia cards with my Gate Guardian cards has been proving pretty effective. Gate Gaurdians Combined protects against monster effects and Exodia protects from spells and you can get insane attack on Phantom God.

Next season if some pulls a legacy ban card. It should be a wild card for the pack. Seeing each of them pull these UR to only hear “great but it’s banned” takes all the hype out of the pulls. I understand legacy bans are necessary so that someone doesn’t auto win till the next banning but trading off for consistency makes these duels more interesting. Plus half the dust is in the card they pull so it kinda fitting.
