$5K is probably a good a number to focus on. I have a SurRon I’ve put about $8,000 in. In retrospect I wish It was stock and I had the $$$ to put towards one of the hot ones just coming out. Watch some of Surronster’s video’s. He reviews a lot of the E Dirt Bike/Motorcycles. I’m 81 years old and don’t/can’t do most of tricks. But I like the light weight, 125# as opposed to the 335 # claimed weight of my Metacycle. Also these bikes are chain/belt drives. Not as quiet as the hub drive,but you can change the final drive ratio with a new sprocket and a few links of chain. It is fun being able keep up with/beat traffic with my 72 VOLT-70 MPH ebike. I’m thinking I need new ebike…Hmmm

@theknifedude1881 thanks for the comprehensive reply. Thinking of treating myself with either a new laptop or a toy like this for the upcoming holidays. By the way, I've read that hub motors are not really good for dirt bikes. Is that true?

How is it different from exotic cars or motorcycles? EV repairs is a booming business, so fixing these shouldn't be a problem

@@Datacube Parts. These cheap Chinese products have no customer backup. Even the minibikes, side-by-sides etc., look on marketplace / CL. They are for sale in a year, broken, no parts to fix them. They are disposable garbage. They constantly change / upgrade the models, with no parts for the previous ones. They do not rely on parts sales as part of their business model.

That's because of the EV regulations. 28-mph scooters could be ridden with the most basic license (in some countries even without it). More power implies getting insurance and a motorcycle license.

How long did it take to deliver your eahora? I'm thinking about it but afraid that it would be only delivered by the winter time

@ I ordered it on Amazon on Monday, Wednesday evening It was at my workplace, that’s where I assemble it, I already put in almost 5000 miles driving to work-home and pleasure rides on Pacific Coast Highway, It worth every single penny.

@ I am customizing my bike for fun. I got rid of the rear fender, change seat, the original one is big, soft and comfortable, but doesn’t look as good as small thin one, I would recommend to order from original website brake pads, front and rear and tires and keep it in the garage, because in general it takes about 45 days to receive any of that, but after 4,000 miles I changed rear tire, because I run over sharp piece of metal and added break fluid, also I bought myself second battery.( I am getting from 60-90 miles per charge, depends on the riding mode ) so far it just flawless, nothing but fun. I checked with CHP and I was told I don’t need registration, insurance is optional (Stay off sidewalks, stay off freeways, and hiking trails) rest is absolutely legal.

@@Datacube depends where u life prices change im looking for bigger extended battery that cost twice as much as smaller ones nevertheless they dont last more than 3 years and this is significant price cost of electric vehicles check prices on internet of good lithium bateries not chinese made junk

Asian companies are actually top producers, so can't agree with you. Moreover, the range may drop after 3 years not be completely unusable. What electric vehicle do you own? My experience with EVs seems a bit more positive

@@Datacube im not planning to buy any electric vehicles in my opinion they suck range suck price suck and in case of SHIFT u cant recharge them so i have jeep 3 bikes and a bicycle lol

@@Datacube Honestly not a fan of the style overall. Especially the dirt bike looking ones. Prefer a more laid back style of motorcycle. Goldwing, Silverwing, Rebel and such are the styles I prefer which you do not find in an electric motorcycle so far. They are too much designed around the crotch rocket style which I really dislike. I want a touring style motorcycle above all others. Good comfortable seat with backrests and that have the ability to carry things without looking weird with boxy shapes.

@@Datacube Heh good luck. Once I can afford a motorcycle, going with gas because no electric bike so far looks how I would like. Not saying they are not nice looking though. Some are. Yeah! And small enough to park in a motorcycle bay, but able to stow a couple of bags of shopping! With an open road speed of 55mph & a 100-mile range. Is that SO Difficult?

Is has a 31.5 inch seat height, while Honda Grom has a 30-inch height. So you may use it as a reference. Still it's a small bike

I live 5 miles from office. It's a perfectly usable range, what sucks though is the price... I am considering a mini bike for fun commuting but with removable batteries, so I can hide Extra battery in the office
