I see your guides on your hunts dont bring tents or food and seem to advocate survivalist techniques on your outings? just curious as to why? that to me would make more sense to me for comfort and more practical purposes. im very familiar with Little Mopang Lake and had so for 45 years of trips in that particular area sometimes bad weather can roll in quickly. without proper shelter you can get clothing wet fast which can lead to hypothermia. the sight you originally launched from is across the way from a cabin up on hill to your left which a friend of mine owned in the mid 70's. also to note there was a dam to the left which was in such deterioration that it was removed in the 8o,s,now its a stream and it lowered the water level significantly on Little Mopang lake. At that site there is a boat ramp listed as an access area on detailed maps and a suitable area for camping. In your video it appears that most of your filming was done on Little Mopang Lake and perhaps near my friends cabin then atrip over to the island across the way then making your way over to Big Mopang Lake and into the Narrows the connecting stream to the Big Mopang Lake where you broke your boat paddle. the water level looked higher than i have last seen it in years past. at one time the water level was about 12". i have seen bear hunters in that area in September. but in all my 45 years i havent seen a bear at Little Mopang Lake.

My number one favorite Restaurant. Ruth's Chris Steak House! Every time I go to Ruth's Chris' Steakhouse it remind me women can be more successful than men. Women can do anything in life as long as they put their mind to it. Keep your eyes on the prize.

This video is amazing. I am one of those alums who cry when setting foot on campus. Over the years I have met many students (now alums). We maintain contact. It's true what was said about family. I am so thankful for my Holy Cross education.

When I attended Holy Cross, we had students from all religious backgrounds (Catholics, Buddhist, Muslims, Atheists, est.). Holy Cross doesn't discriminate against a student's religious believes.

Shannon Powell is a New Orleans music legend, Tim Laughlin is today's heir of Pete Fountain, and, Meschiiya Lake has won the prestigious Big Easy Music Award for Best Female Performer in New Orleans for the second year in a row. The Windsor Hotel employs these truly top rank musicians for weekly gigs attended by hotel guests and locals. The Windsor Hotel honors and supports some of New Orleans' top rank, real life musicians. Anyone critical of that must be working for another, jealous hotel!!

Perhaps you feel some boy band would've been more appropriate than this same old stuff. Gee, then we could've avoided any chance of cliche in an entirely fresh way! What? No complaints about the "portrayal" of the totally racist, all-white band in the lobby? What's truly tiresome is self-righteous political correctness, square in the face of authentic reality, emanating from the thoughtless, flapping jaws of those who are out of touch.

This is real life in New Orleans, with all players happily playing their real life parts, while actually (get this) enjoying each others' company and having a great time together. It is in no way whatsoever any metaphorical trope, and I would hope this never ends.

I actually find it refreshing and endearing. The housekeeper actually works at the hotel, as do ALL of the the white staffers setting tables, opening doors, carrying bags, serving drinks, etc. I have no idea where you're from - probably sequestered somewhere north of the Mason-Dixon, affixed to a TV, and apparently to KZbin, with some headstrong ideology about the way you think the world should be.

Shannon Powell is an award-winning drummer who toured with Branford Marsalis, Diana Krall, and Harry Connick Jr, and currently performs with the internationally touring Preservation Hall Jazz Band. He is the real deal, not some actor cast to look like po black folks. We love and embrace him, his talent, and his uniquely wonderful character, along with his missing tooth, "tired" as you may think that is.
