I'm almost 49. I have been in churches my entire life and even studied Bible at a conservative Christian uni and I don't remember ever hearing this story of Pharaoh's daughter! Amazing how GOD works in people's lives!

Thank you for this teaching. In the Geneva Bible - women are recognized as deaconess (Romans 16:1) and teachers (Prescilla is mentioned twice for teaching by Paul) (Acts 18:26; Romans 16:3). Can you please do a teaching in this? Could you also include all women’s roles in the Bible, as there are quite a few that show leadership roles including also apostle (Romans 16:7), judge and prophesier in the church (1 Corinthians 11:5; Judges 4-5, 7). Thank you! ❤

I’ve seen this. Where, if you don’t speak in unintelligible tongues that you do not have the Holy Spirit and you will be asked to leave the church unless you conform. I was mortified and a new believer, confused by what I was seeing. This church is a “top” church of Tampa, Florida. I’ve been asked why I don’t come back, and I just said read 1 Corinthians. Thank you for clarifying this.❤

God is spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in spirit and truth. Anytime I hear people promising physical rewards from our God, who is Spirit, it makes me scratch my head. He promises the greatest reward ever to His children - to live forever in His presence. Prosperity preachers promise health and wealth, Islam promises 72 virgins, Mormonism promises you can be with your family forever and continue producing babies forever, etc. God never promised fleshly things to His spiritual children, except one I can think of...a cross.

This reminds me of a book written in the late 70s or early 80s called The Persecutor by Sergei Kordikov (hoping I spelled it correctly). Sergei was in the Soviet Navy and became a member of an "elite" military unit whose mission was to persecute Christians. The Holy Spirit worked in Sergei's life through the testimony and actions of the people he was beating and arresting. Sergei got saved and realized he needed to get away from the Soviet Union and let people know what was happening. He was able to get a position. On a Soviet naval vessel that was working in the Artic and Bearing Strait and one night he jumped overboard and was able to swim to Canada. Someone happened to fund him on the beach and rescue him. He would go on to talk about his experiences and write the book. The KGB hunted him down and killed him in Canada. It is an amazing story and heartbreaking as well.

Paul's play on words with Onisimus's name really stood out to me. God is in the business of changing names and the hearts of men. Abram to Abraham. Sarai to Sarah. Simon to Peter. Beautiful. Thank you, Stephen! And of course, thank you LORD!
