I had to remove timing chain to replace broken valve. Its all back together and still running funky. I suspect my timing may be off? Can I verify this by checking intake or exhaust cam positions? What readings should I be looking for?

Please does anyone know where the headlight fuses are. Left headlight stopped working. Initially it was just the main light, high beams and indicator still worked. Removed it, changed the battery, connectors arent looking the best for thr headlight, gave them a clean, now all the left lights arent working. Before i replace the headlight i want to check the fuses. But i cant find where they are. The manual doesnt help theyre not mentioned at all!! Lol

All of mine lines up as in the video. Have researched numerous online posts and videos. Mine is just like this but it will only rotate around 50 to 70° and stops. Feels like something is locking up. Can rotate back to 40° where the timing is set and forward another 40-60° and will stop again. Any ideas? I am about to pull the front c9ver back off and maybe the heads . This engine had 67k miles on iy but the front cover was broken from a wreck. I changed it out and decided to ho ahead and put a new timing set on it. Bad decision! Anyway...at this point I am thinking of pulling the jeans off as I don't think the head gasket will survive me pulling that front cover off again. Iy is already pretty rough looking. Any help would be appreciated.

I went into a dealership to buy a relay for this box - which turns out the box - and relay in it, doesn’t exist on the (basic) model I was working on. The lack of dipped headlights I found to be a faulty stalk switch, which the dealer pointed towards looking at and helpfully suggested a pattern part for a third the price of genuine. After much head scratching it turned out to be fairly simple and inexpensive. But that relay box is definitely not on this C1! Hope that helps. Cheers

I have ABS issues with my E39 and the fusebox under the front passenger seat is rusty because rear door leave the water come in. I hope my problem is only due to this and not the abs block

@@tugga75 I still have abs issues because it's coming from the abs block close to the engine. But I fully rebuilt the fusebox under the seat. The foam inside the rear doors come off sometimes, thats why the water came to the fusebox for me, so you have to stick it again. If you use a good glue it will be fixed forever.
