I just saw this, you may be their right now. The local Stan, had a great relationship with Sandals and it wasn't an issue. I heard some drivers can't get past security and you need to walk to the top of the hill to meet your driver. Stan gets to drive down to the lobby!

@@philg8632 it was amazing, that was actually our 5th sandals resort. The food was the only thing that I was not impressed by. We will be visiting Sandals Barbados this August 2023 and i am counting down the days

We are headed to Beaches Negril in October. The kids are on to us and feel they deserve a trip! Have fun in Barbados, we have not been there yet. We will be hanging around Beaches resorts for the next few years.

I feel like LaToc and Halcyon felt more authentic Caribbean. Grande felt more like a hotel. With that said, if we go back, my wife would choose the Grande as she is a beach person and the other two resort beaches didn't meet her standards. I did really enjoy LaToc, and it's price point. Some rooms are modern up on the bluff where we stayed, down by the main pool it has more of a hotel vibe. We would visit Halcyon if we were 60+ in age, it is smaller and seemed to cater to an older demographic.

I am so sorry that I just saw this. I hope you had a wonderful time. We hired Denroy on the beach. He has a spot where we took a short hike to get to and then snorkeled off the beach, you need your own gear.

Thanks for the advice. I am very new to this and am hopefully getting better! I shot this video at 6:00 am with a GoPro 7 Silver. I have been self teaching Power Director for editing. I really didn't have any clue on how to manipulate videos when I created this!

We enjoyed the trip, glad we got it in before everything fell apart with the virus. We are off to Antigua next April!

Barbados is definitely on our list, we have been to Grenada and it was perfect. Taking the kids to Beaches Negril in 2022.

We did not see any weddings when we were there. If you are on Facebook you should go to the Sandals Grenada Official page and do a search for weddings. I have been a member of that group for a couple of years and have seen some spectacular photography from weddings that have taken place there. I can tell you there are a few locations on the resort that I feel would be a great place for a ceremony (Pier, Beach, & Gazebo back in the gardens by the tennis courts).

It's not private however it's not very accessable to the public. There seemed to be the same one beach vendor, he approached once and we politely decline. He remembered us the rest of the week and never said anything but a polite greeting. We saw a family walking the beach one evening, they came down from the private home above Neptune's but walked through quickly. Overall it is extremely private. My wife is a beach person so we spent the bulk of the time in the beach. It was a great resort we would love to go back in the near future!
