Love the task party and rules of gathering. This has definitely sparked some ideas for a 'gathering' I'm designing to replace a monthly 'webinar' format. Thanks MyFest.

Hi! Thank you for this, truly! At around 3,35 Arley Cruthers mentions reading some work about antiracist grading..., could someone who is familiar with it please type out the work and it's author, or if possible a link to it?? I'm having truble finding it/:
@MahaBaliEgypt3 жыл бұрын
The author is Asao Inoue. His book on Labor-based Grading. We will be posting resources to go along with the video on onehe.org/equity-unbound very soon! Thanks for your interest.

Both his books are open access: Antiracist writing assessments: wac.colostate.edu/books/perspectives/inoue/ and here is the other one: Labor-based grading: wac.colostate.edu/books/perspectives/inoue/

I'm a business consultant in the field of Customer Experience and clearly not in an academic setting but I found this discussion quite helpful as I look out at my clients from a care perspective and how their worlds have been disrupted by Covid-19.

Finally watching this session, wish technical difficulties (not mine for a change) would have let me in sooner even . I'm not sure, but since the session would not open on KZbin from the Virtual Connecting OLC page, I might have needed a Hangout invitation link. Since it hasn't been a problem -- and wasn't this morning with , I didn't think to check my Chrome Hangout extension. One or more systems involved may have in the midst of API overhaul. None admit to it but that affects performance. Once running, the a "Live Now" icon appeared in my KZbin sidebar. Chat would have been handy but was disabled for this session, and twitter following has been thin, probably because so much else was going on at OLC. Yesterday and today I may have spent more time in the Zoom room than on Virtual Connecting.

Great conversation! Lots of direct pointers about why Virtually Connecting works. My favourite was the non-tech determinisation and the intentionality behind each and every session.

Fascinating! Especially the building trust part... it's got to be a serious challenge online since you can't usually see the participants. On the other hand, if something's online , said participant can just get up and leave the room w/0 disrupting...
