I was the same for ages I kept holding on to things that weren’t definitely expired but I’ve realised now I have such a big collection that basically 99% of it will end up expired before I can feel I’ve got my use of it, so I’m trying to see it as actually less wasteful to pass on things I don’t love to someone who might actually use them rather than them going unused in my collection, and then that leaves me with less to rotate through so there’s a higher chance of me actually using a higher percentage of what’s left before it goes off. Although obviously the main thing is bringing less in in the first place going forward! 😅😂🙈

Thank you! I think it’s just like the longer I go on the more it solidifies in my head that I will never be able to finish everything so if I get rid of things and have a smaller amount to use I stand a better chance of getting the use out of what’s left than rotating through everything 😅

I’ve tended to stay away from rolling project pans because I like to feel there’s an end in sight - and know that once I hit a certain goal I can go back to rotating through my collection and getting the use of more of my things than just concentrating on one blush or whatever, but skincare stuff is definitely a little different to that so I think maybe in the future I might do a skincare specific rolling project pan so I’m always concentrating on some of those bigger categories like hand creams, face masks and body lotions that aren’t necessarily in the daily routine so don’t always go down the same way serums and moisturises do! Hello - Firstly, thank you so much for watching and commenting :) But to answer your question - yes I am doing a budgeting project this year and I am definitely going to be uploading a video about it at some point. I've just needed to get the Q1 specific stuff filmed and edited as it's time sensitive, but I will definitely be going into my budgeting project in videos soon!

I'm Scottish, I have a Scottish accent - I do realise it's not the easiest one to understand but it's a bit rude to comment like this, clicking off the video without commenting is a perfectly valid option rather than commenting on someone's voice which they can't do anything about.

It's such a good product - I'm also very interested in the new pressed powder they've just brought out! Pricey but it definitely lasts for ages, I was using that deluxe sample for what felt like forever!

Oh that's odd! I have quite a few of the Gucci lipsticks now and I haven't experienced any issues with them breaking in any of the formulas - I wonder if maybe you and your friends all got ones from a bad batch?

I'm not really sure - I suppose maybe it's how it pulls against the rest of my colouring vs yours and how that pulls out the undertones etc?

It was such an underrated line I think, I loved the blushes and the lipsticks but also had an excellent foundation from them too. It just never seemed to take off for some reason. Fingers crossed for a more successful return!

It really is - my big goal is to try and get my collection down to fit in one drawer. Not sure that'll be do-able for this year but it's definitely heading in the right direction!

I've done the baked products before where you get down to the squares but I've always managed to actually clean the last dusting of product off to actually expose them, and that's what I'd presumed I'd manage to do with the highlight as well and every day I was using it like 'surely this is the day....' lol!

Oh wow, you are going for it this year!! Well done you - I'm definitely going to be panning in 2024 as well but I think we'll award you the crown right now lol. It's so scary when you do the inventory and see the numbers; especially as make up is mainly small packages of product it can be so easy to underestimate how much you actually have if it all fits neatly into a drawer or whatever, then when you see it in black and white it's so unnerving!

Absolutely - I used to get so caught up un the hype of it all, but all that happened was that I was left totally overwhelmed both by the sheer effort of trying to keep up and never feeling that I was keeping up fast enough, but also by the mass volume of stuff I owned that was ever increasing; so I'm very much focussed now on trying to whittle down my collection and curate a collection that lets me play and have fun and enjoy beauty, but without so much wasted money, energy, time and expired product! x
