Thanks for sharing this case. Interestingly, community law can sometimes supersede national law. In the uk, even before leaving the EU, losing cases at a community level can be redisputed in a higher court.

Thank you for your comment. Yes it did happen. See, for example, Arsenal FC v. Reed [2003] EWCA Civ 696.
