Laura Benanti is not a Tony nominee , but a Tony winner by the time she was in this show. I know this is 5 years late but still.

I have seen many impersonators No one comes close to Mary Bridget She puts more out there on that stage with the dancing head bobbing just like how Janis Joplin performed Way to go Mary Bridget I am a huge huge fan of Janis for many years Keep Rocking 🤟🏼

As great a performance as I have ever seen on stage, and I have seen over 250 plays and musicals on KZbin or live on stage over 50 years.

These guys ripped me off, so be warned. I renewed my subscription using my iPhone to subscribe and they didn’t recognize the renewal. I put in a ticket, got a bunch of automated responses and nothing was done and they took my money but I never could log in. I had been a member for several months before and really enjoyed the selection of musicals. (Especially this one, 42nd street). But they are a disorganized mess so if you subscribe, you’ll be taking a chance. When it works, it works. When it doesn’t work, they pawn you off on some service they’ve hired to answer customer problems and the third party service is terrible and my problem was never solved. You have been warned.

So I have played drums for this show, and the comments on this video absolutely sent me. Therefore, I will state a couple facts: Fact 1: he didn’t do it as good as Fred Astaire. Fact 2: NO ONE will EVER do it as good as Fred Astaire. So, for all you saying Fred Astaire did it better, no fucking shit. Unfortunately, Fred is dead, so get off your high horse and enjoy some great work by some great artists. Quit focusing on the talents that have passed on, and give a modicum of attention to the talent that is currently with us. On the off chance you haven’t noticed, some of the talent that’s ALIVE is pretty good. Y’all want to go on and on about the greats of the past, and I get it, they were great, maybe even the greatest. But they’re gone; that’s fact. They aren’t here any more. So at least give some credit to those who are following in their footsteps. What the greats did was art, and y’all should be more appreciative of the fact that their art is being sustained through the current generation. Even if it’s not as good as “back in your day,” it’s better than not being there at all. Rant over.

Kerry was great, but that girl signing It's Never That Easy was so off-pitch with a tone that was all over the place it was hard to listen to. There was no nuance, and it was clear she had no idea what she was singing about or who she was singing to. The only version of this duet I've heard that's as good as the original where both ladies are equally good was with Jen Collela and Marya Grandy.
@klausbaden5 ай бұрын
Which “girl” you mean? 1. There are only two women. 2. Both women! are excellent and nobody sings “off-pitch”. And believe me: I’m working in this business and have excellent ans experienced ears and I would be happy to have so fine singers in this show.

This is, most certainly, the definitive version. Nothing can ever top this, not the Broadway revival where they changed the choreography and most certainly not that horrible film version from a few years ago. Long live the ORIGINAL version of CATS.

I confess that until I saw the recording of "She Loves Me", I was unaware Zach Levi was anything but the actor who had played the title role on the TV series "Chuck" and had played "Shazam". He has a great stage presence and a fine singing voice.
