I just bought the same model 34j first time winterizing. Your video is very helpful. I have a big blue drain valve for the fresh water tank to drain it where you were at with the pump under the bed. I did not see that mentioned. Thank you for the video.

when draining the water heater after removing the plug open the P&T valve at the top and it will let air in allowing the water to drain out faster.

If you get the opportunity to take the boys to Colorado in the summer or early fall...do the Silverton to Durango Train...it is the most amazing trip. I recommend going one way and riding the bus back. It gives sights that you can only see from the train or high country hiking. Thanks for this video. Give great first hand footage. Continue to enjoy the time with the boys.

Your kids are pretty good at skiing. They could do maneuvers, go fast, but parallel turning for them isn't the best. I would suggest trying harder trails like the EWOK Blue Trail at the end of the resort were the 3 blues are, past the black diamonds. Hope you have a good season rest of skiing!!! 😀

Can you just blow out the lines instead of using Antifreeze? Or do you have to use both?
@goodtimeswithbrian2 жыл бұрын
I believe you can do both. I just feel more confident with the antifreeze.
@fordste573 жыл бұрын
I have a 2019 34J. If you decide to air blow keep in mind that the portion of the plumbing from the fresh water tank past the fresh water pump will not get blown out. It needs antifreeze. Most of the time I do both air and antifreeze. Great to have fellow 34J owners to talk too.

Thank you for the video. Just got a 2016 34J. I ended up rerouting my fresh water low point drain, as the original plan had the line going uphill to the outside fridge. Pro tip: when opening the low point drains to release residual water, you should also open every fixture so that there is no vacuum created that holds water in the lines. I, too, used to just open the low points and let gravity work. However, opening both the hot & cold controls at each fixture allows complete drainage of the system. This way you won't have to wait for the water to clear the system prior to the arrival of antifreeze when pumping through. Otherwise, this is one of the most thorough videos on winterizing I have seen - great job!
@goodtimeswithbrian3 жыл бұрын
Great advise!! I do that as well but I guess I didn't actually film that.
