I just wish that higher priority items were getting fixed as well... stuff that is "in progress" for months and months for say the new email broadcast tool. On a more pertinent note, I am surprised that anyone would find the new way easier. I'll have to play with it a bit to see, but from what I saw on your screen it didn't really look easier and certainly didn't line up with competitors tools that truly are easier.

Hey Greg! Thank you for letting me share my thoughts on the differences of Keap and ActiveCampaign. It's always a lot of fun collaborating with the team at Monkeypod :)
@clickdigitalconsulting20 күн бұрын
You are too nice to Keap. I have also asked them for many things over the last six years, but they seem to have fallen on deaf ears. The UI and functionality alone are incredibly poor on Keap. IT makes the app clunky and it wastes so much time. Does nobody over at Keap actually use the product and realize how frustrating and time-consuming it is? I'm hopeful that Thryv can move it into a much better user experience at the very least. Don't even get me started on the email delivery rules and the weak automation capabilities. Hoping it will be a better experience all around, more useful and be as good for B2B as B2C.

I meant it when I said it - but now you've given me reason to reflect. Maybe I wasn't being fair enough to myself. I certainly CAN be patient, and optimistic. Thanks, Greg. The acquisition price vs trailing 12 month KEAP revenue definitely suggests they are bleeding customers, which doesn't surprise us given the rise of GHL and a lot of CPs jumping ship. Sometimes these M&A events do have synergy, but it kinda feels like two legacy automotive vendors merging to try to fight a massive industry shift (Tesla). It's gonna be hard. Hi Greg! Long time no see. You helped Infusionsoft certify me (Founder of In Your Hand Media) back in 14 or 15! A quick comment from me, one of my clients came from Thryv a few years back and the CMS was horrible. It was a total mess. I hope they have evolved since then but I was not impressed with their company at all. They know how to pump the market with advertisements though don't they. lol Anyways, not particularly pleased by the acquisition and I just pray they don't damage the Keap brand. Stay well!
@ddetorres1Ай бұрын
In listening to this, it sounds like we should feel bad for the founders. I abandoned keap, when it fell like they abandoned us. The constant increases in price, the broken features, the price gouging in relation to text messages. What does Keap offer that open source platforms like Mautic don't?
@MonkeypodMarketingАй бұрын
@@ddetorres1 after I shared this I felt paranoid about the way it might be received, for exactly that reason. Truth is, my response is informed by my own history and context with the company (and founders). But I certainly don't mean to imply that everyone should feel this way. You are (of course) entitled to whatever response feels right.
@ddetorres1Ай бұрын
@MonkeypodMarketing I'm just saying I feel they sold out a long time ago. While their competitors were doing things for a lot less, they kept raising the prices and made the user's rely on third-party Integrations to get half the features. After I posted the comment I was reminded about how excited they were with the invoicing system and the product part. They left out a glaring feature which was sales tax. Their excuse at the time was they didn't have a way of populating it based on location. The suggestion was hire a programmer or live without the features. I had to pay a separate company a month fee to access form styling options, and I paid for a MonkeyPod membership because my reps couldn't help with pretty basic questions I had when building campaigns.

Good summary and points - you have a lot vested in Keap and I can tell your message is heartfelt, but cautious. We'll see how it will unfold. From someone who is not as close to it as you and many others, I have been a Keap/IS user since 2017. Am a partner, too. But it seems the company has floundered a bit the last several years from the outside looking in. It takes a very different person in most cases to take a company to the next level, especially public which is a whole different animal. Keap was being squeezed from many sides and I'm sure they missed the boat on tapping out at a higher valuation and their exit strategy. GHL, Intuit acquiring Mailchimp, Constant Contact acquired Sharpspring. The typical evolution of an industry as it matures and margins get tighter. I'm hopeful of what will come but not holding my breath. Thryv has roots to Dex and Yellowpages neither of which were stars. Let's see.

@MonkeypodMarketing5 ай бұрын
It depends on a few things. If the email is scheduled with a delay timer, then it will only send to folks for whom that timer is in the future (based on the number of days of the delay, and the length of time the contact has been in the sequence). If the email is scheduled with a DATE timer, then it would be sent to everyone who is still in that sequence (active or queued) at the time it is scheduled.
@SurajPunjabi-er1os5 ай бұрын
@@MonkeypodMarketing Thank you! Yes, it is set with a date timer. I also need to update the email copy as the sequence is happening since I need to update the number of tickets left in the copy itself. Right now, I'm just using [x] as a placeholder. But once I have the actual number, I need to update the email that will be sent soon. Thank you.

@@SurajPunjabi-er1os sounds good. When you re-publish to update the emails just try and do it a few hours before it's scheduled to send. I've heard of people waiting to the last minute and wind up having the outdated version still send.
