@@OW... I'm not sure on the amount of traders as this was the first year I've attended but from what I've read/seen a lot of wargames companies are stepping away from shows now which is a shame. I wonder if it's the cost of set up, travel, accomodation etc as some travel from quite far away. Great Escape Games for example are nearly a 5 hour drive away 😱 great to see them there though so glad they attended 😅 We only stayed a couple of hours then headed home about half 12 and there was still people heading in. Definitely a long day for us!

@@Bostich I have a feeling the 3D printed route is the way to go with the 6pdr, either that or I think Rubicon do a kit of one but I might be mistaken.

@@Bostich Just looked and Rubicon do indeed do a plastic 6pdr. I've seen a lovely stl though by RKX, at least with an Stl I can print many, many 6pdrs 😅

@@gordonmcillroy455 I think that's the way I'm going to go. From looking at a lot of old western buildings I've noticed the wood almost silvers with age and wear. A light grey highlight after a wash is looking like the way to go for sure 👍

@@OtterpunkTV if you use coffee stirrers for planks across some more basic MDF kits you get a really nice effect. That's what I plan to do with a rather plain barn kit I've got to build 👍

Used plenty of those before! Certain types of match sticks also work great if you want some planks that are smaller too! Great for boarding up windows and such. Cereal box shingles are also a cool, cheap way to add some depth. Lots of stuff around the house that can really take simple builds to the next level 😁

@OtterpunkTV cereal box card is great for making roof shingles and matchsticks are great for around door ways too 🤠

@@liamkehoe5957 I know what you mean, some mdf kits do need a lot of extra work to make them passable. Luckily the boxy nature of old west buildings lends itself well to Mdf 🤠

Yeah the MDF terrain does fit nicely to DMH. Do you prefer MDF or 3D prints for your terrain ?

@@liamkehoe5957 I prefer 3D prints (there are some really cool western and post apocalyptic building files out there) but finding a local printer to me is proving difficult and a lot of thr stuff online is quite expensive sadly.

@@OtterpunkTV Great Escape Games have done a really good job with these sets and they have more plastic sets on the way too. I've got a few Gangs/Lawmen videos planned where I'll be going over my built and painted gangs for the game and talking stats etc. Ill be doing a town over view soon too, I've just got a couple more buildings to paint and out together. It's all go on the Hobby Desk 🤠

@@OtterpunkTV the Sarissa Precision wild west kits are really nice and a really good price too. You can get some of the 4Ground kits on the Great Escape Games website and they even carry the train kits too which is really cool.

@@thehobbydeskwithrob sounds great, we'll crack on with the terrain and sort something out for next year when we've a finished table ready. The DMH starter will flesh out my town nicely. What a Cowboy is great and the campaign system is stunningly well put together (6 games to complete a campaign), I can't see you not loving it. WAC can be short, but typically more like a 1-2 hour game, a little more involved but mostly geared towards hilarity and fluffy fun.
