Clear and lovely intonation. Presumably the singers are using a German pronunciation of the Latin words?

Thank you! It's simply the traditional pronunciation commonly taught until the mid-twentieth century; indeed, the (original) English would not rhyme otherwise. A remant of this style of pronunciation can be found in the phrases "et cetera" and "sub judice".
