@@kimwatkiss4456 I’ve just watched his video . He’s great at capturing the butterflies isn’t he ! Well I’ve also just watched a little vid I did of the saddle oaks two years ago and looking at it standing I’m not totally sure it’s the same tree as in this video. I’ll have to go back and check again .

They are impressive. They may not be the biggest, in terms of mass, (there are some mighty lumps of wood out there, as you know) but they are impressive. I have read that there are now more sequoias in the UK than the USA. I don't know if this is true. Something to do with those Victorians, probably...

@@jameswalksinhistory3848 Many times I’ve been here and I’ve not seen a single person apart from the gamekeeper guy - he seems to appear everywhere. Probably this was the first time I’ve never seen him here but there was a similar looking guy driving around in his tractor .

We. Filmed in that church. Lord Nelson's brother is actually buried in the chapel itself. And we filmed the big house where they lived up the road. You can see it on vacant haven

I haven't been to Cadmans for years. It was good fishing back in the 90s, but it got far too busy for it's own good. I think they even closed the car park for a while.

@@OmnielCapote I seriously thought I’d heard the mothman or something as I forgot there was a river to the side of the woods I was walking. The sound that appeared to be coming from the woods was very loud and powerful

I hope you don't mind would it be possible to tell me the area is also your Soarley beeches I have planed to go there last year but in your opinion is picket post the nearest car park to walk from

Hi and thanks very much for watching and enjoying my videos. This tree you can quite easily find if you park at Pig Bush car park and head through the woods down onto the open heathland, across the little bridge and into the woods directly in front of you . A short way into the woods it will be on your right. As for Soarley Beeches , it could be the quickest option you mention but as I don’t drive I tend to cycle or walk from the Canadian War Memorial. Take the long gravel track past Bolderwood then about halfway down there take another track to your right and you can get to it from there. There are other ways but you are probably right to go the way you suggested

There are hundreds of these scattered all over the UK.. I was a member of the ROC in the 60s. We had regular weekend exercises where we slept down there, ate down there only comming up to take simulated readings of a nuclear attack. They were setup in small groups reporting to a central comand post. Ours was somewhere near Coventry.
