Bro , suppose i am taking some yoga class 5 feet away and if i keep it with camera on some stand . Will it be able to pick my voice easily ? Is it a good option
@petermaggs82803 ай бұрын
Hi. It would pick up your voice from 5ft away, but it wouldn't be ideal. At that distance its also likely to pick up other ambient sounds (e.g. other people, noise from the room, etc.). I'd probably suggest a wireless mic that you can wear, such as the Rode Wireless Go, would be a better option. Check out my video on the Rode Wireless Go II if your interested. Cheers Peter

Great video. I tend to use the stereo split option when recording in clean feed. That will basically give me the ability to separate the guest's track from mine in Audacity....then make both tracks mono. Now I can edit both tracks independently as needed. I then combine the tracks back together and export as mp3.

Many thanks for the positive feedback and highlighting the benefit of recording with the split stereo option in Cleanfeed. It certainly makes the editing process easier in Audacity. Thanks again. Peter

zoom h1 or rode wireless go ? Only for sound quality which one is best?
@petermaggs82802 жыл бұрын
Hi Shahidul. I think it probably depends on how you want to use the respective mics. If I was doing voice-overs I'd use the Zoom H1n (with a pop filter). If I was filming with a DSLR camera or smartphone, I'd use the Rode Wireless GO II as the wireless mic (probably with a lavaiier mic plugged in) and with the onboard recording feature acting as a quality backup recording. I hope this is useful. Regards Peter

@@petermaggs8280 Actually I want to know their sound quality. I'm not really interested in portability. But I'm also interested in their sound quality with and without comparing their labeliar's mic sound quality.
@petermaggs82802 жыл бұрын
@@ShahidulIslamPappuOfficial If you're not really concerned about portability, I would probably suggest the Zoom H1n in terms of pure sound quality. I've personally found the Zoom H1n provides better depth for the voice-over work I do. Having said that the RODE Wireless GO II is still a great versatile set of wireless mics for those needing to run and gun. Hope this helps. Cheers Peter

Cool video, thanks. How do you sync the audio in post when you are far away from the camera? I always sync automatically with the camera internal mic. Was wondering how to do that when the camera is too far to capture sound.
@petermaggs82802 жыл бұрын
Hi Ogldev. Glad you found the video useful. I actually do exactly what you do describe to sync the Zoom H1n and the camera audio. When I begin filming I stand next to the camera, start recording with the Zoom H1n and just say a loud old-school, "Testing, testing, testing" into both devices that I can sync easily in post. Not particularly innovative, but works fine. Hope that helps. Regards Peter

You can also use it as a USB mic or interface, connected to the USB-C socket of the DJI Action 2 video camera.

Thanks Peter. Good to know. The versatility of the Zoom H1n and the way it can be integrated with so many devices (e.g. camera, desktop/laptop, external mic, etc.) is why I have valued it so much over the years,

Do you use a shock mount when used with a boom setup?

Thanks for the question. Because I don't use a boom setup that often I haven't invested in a shock mount, but I definitely would if I was using the boom setup more frequently. Cheers Peter
