On “ton” was a fun drinking game but also try the “um” game every time he says “um” too. Endless fun. We kid you because you’re not camera savvy but the information is invaluable. Keep up the great videos but I won’t be driving anywhere tonight! I want one of these trailers even though I’ve heard bad things about Forest River build quality. Best, Tod

Thanks for posting such a great video. I’m currently looking at an E-Pro 20fbs. I’m new to travel trailers. So my concerns were also dumping the waste. Does the camper come with the waste hose , or is that something that needs to be purchased separately?
@thedroesslers17 күн бұрын
No, the trailer does not come with a waste hose. The dealer we bought our camper from included a cheap waste hose but we decided to buy a better one. Here is a link to what we purchased: amzn.to/3knrtdI

As interesting as that shifter is, I’m not a big fan of it honestly. Personally, I think that shifter should be just a stand alone option for mid level to higher end trims of the Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra but that’s just my opinion.

I love it how I recognised the location in the first five seconds. The galleria delle mappe... The Vatican museums are lovely to visit. I particularly enjoyed special tours: visiting very early in the morning with a breakfast in the cafeteria - and a drive through the Vatican gardens. (I only regret not having done the train ride from the Vatican to Castel Gandolfo!)

After you run the antifreeze thru the lines why did you open all the valves back up and drain them out ? Isn’t the idea to leave the antifreeze in the lines. ..???
@thedroesslersАй бұрын
I am following what the dealer does. My guess is that you both want to relieve any pressure in the lines and that you don't actually need them full. You just need the water out.

not sure if your still doing videos about this truck or not. But, here is a tip. If you buckle the seat belt before you start the truck, the 5 annoying beeps will not be heard. You can run buckle behind you and click it in place if you dont really want to buckle like your driving. I purchased a "dog seat belt" on ebay for cheap and just cut the steel buckle part off the dog leash and install the buckle in the receiver. The truck thinks you are buckled up and will not sound the 5 chimes anymore.

Thank you. EVERYTHING I ever touch when doing maintenance, I break, so hear me out please. Even though this seems fairly easy, can I just open the hot water inside my rig (with hot water heater OFF) and that drains most of it out without going through what you just mentioned here? Serious question. Thanks. P.S. I know you're thinking its best to do it your way but believe me, I'd strip the anode rod bolt, break off the relief valve by accident, or drop the socket on my foot and break my toe and have to go the hospital. Probably all three.
@thedroesslers4 ай бұрын
Based on where the valves are on the hot water heater, I don't think that will work. The water comes into the bottom of the tank from the fresh water (or city hookup) tank and exits out the top to go to the sinks/shower. If you simply run a sink, you will empty the fresh water tank but you won't empty the hot water heater.
@usaman73584 ай бұрын
@@thedroesslers Thank you. I wish I was more knowledgeable about this stuff. My thinking goes something like this: You turn on hot water at sink(s), eventually the hot water runs out (indicating the water in the hot water tank is empty), then it automatically replenishes/ fills right up again (6 gallons) with all the other good/fresh water that is still in the tank. But I guess I'm still missing something here. Thanks

@thedroesslers I have watched your other videos, and it seems we have quite the similar journey haha, appreciate all the info! Is your truck the 2.7L or 5.3L V8? I also have a 20bhs geopro with a traverse, and was looking to get the 1500 silverado. Main reasonings, I want to comfortably travel to mountainous areas like TN. The traverse gets about 10mpg, 2500rpm going 65-70 on flat roads pulling the 20bhs. Maintaining that uphills, revs the engine up to 4-5k rpms, which I dont like. From all the videos im seeing, im not entirely sure the upgrade to the truck is going to help? Are you seeing similar rpms and gas mileage with the new truck? Was the upgrade worth it for you?
@thedroesslers5 ай бұрын
I have the 5.3L V8 engine. I don't know about rpms, but I get similar 10mpg when towing the same trailer. For me, the upgrade was worth it. I barely notice the trailer when towing with the truck. My Silverado handles it with ease. The lane change camera is also very helpful. One difference I did notice with the truck is that the transmission fluid temperature stays a lot lower than the Traverse.

It’s a great video, but I do not see the name of the manufacturer of the bike rack, or where it can be purchased. Can someone please share that?
@thedroesslers5 ай бұрын
Here is my response from a similar question: I looked over the bike rack and the manual and there is no specific model number. The rack is made by Lippert Components and is called LetsGoAERO but also uses the term Jack-It. I found it on Amazon (amzn.to/3fliPLS), but it looks like it does not come with the Power Tower which you would need to mount it above the Jack.
