What is your opinion on trimming the ends of your hair?
@LimitlessBloom2 күн бұрын
I don’t see anything wrong with it if the hair is damaged and or if the person wants to shape up their hair. However I do agree that if length retention is your goal then you have to keep the cuts/trims to a minimum by actually looking after your ends so you do not need to cut them. I’m actually doing a personal challenge to see how long I can go without cutting my hair( I started after cutting off ALL my damaged ends which is the best foundation for this challenge really). My hair is usually due for a trim every 3- 4 months but in order for this to work, I’ve changed my routine to keep my ends very healthy. I Will make a video about it to share results from the first 3 months then keep doing updates every 3 months. Really interested to see what will happen because I definitely need the inches now that I’ve cut off half of my hair 😅
@godiseverything14822 күн бұрын
@LimitlessBloom Thanks for your response I am trying to retain length so instead of trimming, I am seeking options of how to care and maintain my ends. Looking forward to your video on the topic.😊🙏🏽

“No kinks in sight” 😂😂 Girl!! 😆 That was the shock from doing a big chop after having relaxed hair most of my life. Kinks everywhere! There wasn’t enough gel to smooth or curl them! 😂 There’s so much freedom and beauty when we begin to love and accept our hair. Growth, length, fullness and just overall good health is what we get in return. Thank God that I finally, fully got here. I’m enjoying my hair way more! It’s not a chore to care for, but a privilege. You told no lies Sis! Great video, as usual! 🥰❤️🌺

What gel do you use for your up dos?
@LimitlessBloom6 күн бұрын
All the styles from 2016 to 2019 I just used heavy creams , oils/butters and water to set my hair. I always styled on damp hair and finish off by spraying my hair with lots of water and brush it down then tie it with a scarf for at least 15mins but overnight gives the best results. More recent years, I may or may not use uncle funky curly magic which is a very moisturising soft hold botanical gel. I love it because it doesn’t flake and I don’t have to wash my hair to change styles lol that was the main reason I decided to not use gels cos of the strong hold and the residue once you take down the style

Girl, I love a good herbal blended oil mix too!! I’m not as advanced as you though. I make mine with henna, cloves, fenugreek in just castor oil. Then as I use it, I’ll add pure vitamin e in my applicator bottle. It’s thick and luscious! I used to use a lot of different oils but I’m really trying not to be an oil and butter junkie. 😅 I still use coconut oil before washing and hot oil treatments, but that’s it. 🌺
@LimitlessBloom18 күн бұрын
Haha I feel you girl , it’s a quick spiral with the oils and butters. Definitely in too deep at this point 😅. I’ve also made castor oil and shea oil this year for sealing my ends so I know that thickness you’re talking about 😅but I really love it. I stopped using coconut oil for no reason at all but will be going back to it soon 👌🏾

That’s great. I stopped using coconut oil (no reason at all) and replaced it with babassu oil but I recently purchased the liquid version of coconut oil that does not solidify below room temperature so will be adding that to my oils from now on. My hair also loves coconut oil and babassu oil and palm kernel oil are just like coconut oil so I use all of them lol. What herbs do you use to wash your hair?

I use the herbs that I drink cyrussy leaf of life even the pepper mint I etc use them to bath with too some of them are plant it my yard if you give it a try when you use the herbs not even condition make your hair or your foot bottom fell so soft I wish I had start long time no more bath soap or shampoo for me as long as I have my herbs

Hi everyone, just a quick heads up that you should ALWAYS add your Vitamin E oil and essential oils during the cool down phase of your formulation. In this video I added my vitamin E with the rest of the oils and herbs before warming it up. Don't do that :)

You certainly has low porosity so try to do the loc method to repair your hair. Oil your hair ends regularly to avoid the breakage and change product. U can Use Shea moisture for a bit. Avoid the heat for at least one year . And be gentle when detangle them. Try henna and Ayurveda.

Thank you for the update on your hair. I am going through something similar from a severe vitamin deficiency. Most of my thin ends have been removed through mini chops in 2023 and final bigger chop in Jan 2024. I still have a few thin ends left in front- like you, I still need a bit of length there in order to have workable styles 😆 but I will cut off eventually 👍🏽
@LimitlessBloom27 күн бұрын
Haha it’s definitely important to keep those styles in mind 😅. My son’s hair fell out same time as mine and I find it funny that I immediately cut off all his thin ends but left mine to transition 😅. He’s only 3 so I guess that’s why I could do that 🤣

Thank you for joining me on the journey 💕. I absolutely loved the henna. I did it for colour but didn’t get as much payoff as I wanted. I mixed 70% henna with 20% indigo 4.5%Amla and 7% catachu and acv. Next time will try 98% henna with a tiny bit of Amla and see where that gets me. Yes I love our hair so much and really wish everyone saw and appreciated its beauty especially black women ❤️. Haha the balancing don’t balance most days but we keep trying 😅💪🏾

I've ordered the boucleme intensive Moisture treatment! I Thank you. My hair gets completely wet every time I swim. I swim approx 2km freestyle backstroke & breaststroke for about 1 hour every time. I self taught myself to swim just before the pandemic and live to swim. Maybe I will publish my journey to help other adults like me who couldn't swim. If I just tie my hair in one it will stay wet in the middle until I swim/wash again. So I will leave loose to completely dry it. I've never used protein treatment but since watching you I've ordered the Doogro. I will add to my conditioner everytime or once a week?
@LimitlessBloomАй бұрын
Oh wow that’s amazing! Well done. I can’t swim to save my life 😭. In regards to protein treatments you only need to do them every 6-8 weeks. Anything sooner or later is bad for your hair. Definitely keep me posted on how you get on💕. And please do share your journey! It’d be awesome 🤩 👌
@SCOOBYCH1CKАй бұрын
@LimitlessBloom Thank you for replying. I swim about 5 days a week, and I wash my hair every time I go. I am currently using a mix of Boots Sun Swim & Gym and Creme of Nature Moisture & shine Shampoo to wash the chlorine out. I then use imbue curl restoring intensive mask as a leave in conditioner and dry my hair naturally. I have been swimming regularly for 6 months now and so far my hair is soft, no hair loss/breakage but it seems my hair is not growing as it did.
@LimitlessBloomАй бұрын
Oh ok . I see. I’ve been using boucleme intensive moisture treatment as it also doubles up as a leave in.i just slap it on and let it sit for at least an hour or overnight depending how tired i am then instead of rinsing I just go ahead and style. Cuts washing and styling time in half and I love it. I’m not sure if the imbue mask is supposed to be used as a leave in? I just checked and it’s not supposed to be used as a leave in. Been using boucleme for about 3years now and been meaning to make a video to share. It’s really good. Use it for my kids too. Do you do protein treatments? And have you tried blow drying instead of drying naturally? I’m just wondering if your hair is staying wet for too long? Cos my hair takes about 2 days to dry fully so maybe that might not be helping. Also does your hair get wet everytime you swim? Also here’s the link for the product www.boucleme.co.uk/products/intensive-moisture-treatment?variant=38032784556232 this is not an affiliate link. I buy it with my own money and usually get the 1 litre as I use it for the whole fam. Has amazing slip and I add my Ayurveda oils to it before using. I’m literally obsessed with multi use products and always on the look out for more. The lazy in me will not rest till I cut washday down even more whilst also giving my hair everything it needs without doing the most 😅

I’m assuming that’s a tablespoon of each ingredient am I correct? How much water?
@LimitlessBloomАй бұрын
Yes and a cup of water or however much you want to make. I just eyeball it really. I’ve recently just started making it in a medium sized teacup as I realised I was making way too much for my hair. If you do that then I suggest you use teaspoons of each herb or even less.
@mcann-smith5378Ай бұрын

Fantastic video . I stumbled on imbue I have fallen in love with it. I swim every day in chlorine water. I have 4a & b hair. What do you recommend as a daily regime to keep my hair strong, long & moisturised.
@LimitlessBloomАй бұрын
Honestly I have no idea about swimming and natural hair other than the fact that you need to use special shampoo’s made for swimmers to remove the chlorine and also to keep on top of your moisture routine and that’s including deep conditioning too. What’s your current routine like and how’s your hair responding to it?
@jeahhunter7508Ай бұрын
I think you should use your herbal gloss on days you don't do your protein treatment. I think it's better to use it with a deep conditioner rather since the herbs are already quite strengthening.
