I earnestly feel that one of the biggest astonishments in today's entertainment world is that a rank amateur with a painfully untrained, girlish voice could have achieved, by means of the freakiest of miracles, global success and adoration by tens of millions. Putting aside his purported, but non-existant "multi-talentedness," one is forced to look elsewhere for the answer. The only thing I can come up with is his "irresitable, boyish, cuddly face" which has always elicited sounds of delight from teen audiences. Later, as he grew out of the "talented toddler" stage, and as he was discovering how a bare chest, underwear-exposing sagging pants, pelvis-thrusting, and penis-tugging could bring forth hysterical screaming and swooning from those teens, there was no stopping him. But let's not kid ourselves. . . audiences were paying much closer attention to his gyrating groin than to his barely audible singing. It didn't take long for his sensationally staged strip-tease shows and record sales to amass a fortune of nearly a half billion. You notice that I omitted the word "talent" in the preceding sentence. Growing less cute as the months pass, and now having "found Jesus," he can probably expect that future stage appearances might arouse a lesser degree of excitement from his admirers.
