I'm here in 2024 wishing I could go back 34 years. We never truly understood how good we had it back then. RIP to the Mindbender.

Im from Scotland and have always been fascinated with American culture especially during the 80s and 90s. - I noticed a restaurant called Elephant and Castle in the video. Elephant and Castle is an area in London

Oh wow, this really video is so fantastic. I had to pause the video so many times to just let all the memories come back to me. I swear watching the video, I can actually smell the scents of the Mall and feel the coolness from off the Ice Palace. You had great clips of Elephant and Castle. I used to love going and having the Rarebit Burger there. And Sam The Record Man--- wow! I used to spend a lot of time looking through LPs, tapes and CDs there-- and spending a lot of money there too....lol. I miss that place! This video would have been exactly when I was going to WEM as a young adult. It was nice to see the brief shot of the International Marketplace. It was also very cool to see Fantasyland before being changed the Galaxyland name. I love this video so much. Thank you so much for filming this and uploading it to KZbin. I brings back so many great memories! Thank you, Elwood.

Just imagine if they had dolphins and free aquariums, and rare artifacts to look at throughout the mall today! An international marketplace like they have in Hawaii, and a fire breathing dragon at the movie theatre. And water fountains everywhere! Sadly I guess the aquariums where too expensive to maintain, as well as the water fountains( like the cool ones you could walk under at the food court in Phase 2) It still is amazing, but its been around over 30 years- and malls have taken a bit hit with the internet and online shopping. I say they should bring back that ball thing and some interesting artifacts tho.

Worth pointing out, in all the years I frequented this establishment; the respect and service you get as a Patron is beyond words regardless of your ethnicity or what credit cards you possess. Taking your loved ones here is worth every hard earned dollar. Very classy. And the food, amazing. If they traded stock I would definitely invest. :)

Saw the back of my head and my wife's head while Rush was giving Dan his subscription. Very sad loss today - probably why I'm looking around the web at these. Thank you for posting! This was an amazing time, and amazing event. We drove from Kansas City on a Friday night - straight through to Fort Collins, parked the car and slept for a couple of hours. In the morning, we went to Denny's before everyone started to show up. When we walked out, there was a LONG line waiting to get into Denny's for breakfast. Got there early, was right next to the stage - will never forget the impact Rush had on this country.

@@kevindube7096 Dude, "New York City Tour" means that they went on a tour of New York, but it doesn't imply that they hired someone as a guide. If this were a "True, False, Not Given" exam, the answer would be "Not Given", because you can't tell for sure whether or not there's a guide. You answered "True" for (there's a guide) and your answer is incorrect.

WOW !!! I just stumbled on to this video (Feb 02, 2020) In it @10:52 is my friend (now accountant) Rick in his Spotted Owl shirt! Our Dan's Bake Sale road trip is one of our best memories. Following the final episode of Cheers Thursday night, me and Rick painted "Bake Sale or Bust" on the car and then got on I-80 in San Francisco for the 18 hour nonstop trip to Ft Collins. We always refer to it as our "Lucky Trip". We were shocked to get room in Ft. Collins at the first motel room we checked following an amazing experience we had in Utah. After many hours of driving we got pulled over near Wendover UT doing 90 mph. When the trooper came to the window, he asked "..You going to Dan's Bake Sale?" He then said, "I sure wish I could go.. We (Beehive State Troopers) are all BIG fans of Rush.. Would you like an escort through Utah?" We then sped across Utah accompanied by two trooper vehicles collecting along the way a dozen other Bake Sale marked cars headed to Ft Collins. 200 miles later as we neared the Wyoming state line, the troopers pulled off giving us a big a thumbs up! Wonderful memory that I will never forget! Finding your video 26+ years later is further proof it was indeed our "Lucky Trip" Thanks !!

It was lifetime experience for me, too. It was a spur of the moment thing that a couple of friends and I jumped at. We took the train from Santa Barbara to Denver and rented a car to go to Fort Collins. The trip up I-25 was a hoot with all the motorcycle, buses, and cars with signs about the bake sale.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a general decline in malls in North a America. Online shopping, and internet entertainment, and now Covid. I’m hoping they make a comeback.
