This tour is the most memorable of all my 3 visits to the Banff National Park. Not only it was the first time, it was my coldest tour to the Rockies in early winter, and it was also the most unjustified tour. It took us 2 days for traveling to Banff and another 2 days for returning to Vancouver. However, we had less than 3 hours of activity before checking in the hotel and also less than 3 hours after having breakfast at the hotel next morning.

The Parker Ridge Trail is a must for a tour of the Jasper National Park. You are rewarded with a magnificent view of the glacier and the surrounding mountains.

Nice videography and editing. Did you happen to chance upon a street performance of a very popular and internationally acclaimed high school marching band called the Kyoto Tachibana? If you did and shared a video of their performance you’ll be amazed by the number of views you’ll get☺️ Looks like the situation over in Japan is pretty much normal. Did your family have to quarantine on arrival?

Thanks for your watching and appreciation. We did not have to quarantine or test for the pandemic as our visit to Kyoto and other western Japan areas was made in last December of 2019. Hope I could get the chance to experience the popular school marching in my next tour of the country from Hong Kong.

Nelson LAI , Ah, I thought this video was taken recently😊 Anyway the Kyoto Tachibana band’s last performance for the year is in November at the national contest and this year it was not open to the public - only online viewing. If you do a random search on KZbin for ‘Kyoto Tachibana’ you’ll see lots of videos from many uploaders. Then take a look at the number of views. Most of the videos are simply taken from the roadside following the band as they parade down the streets. With the standard of your videography you’ll be able to capture very high quality videos. One more thing, make sure you record the music as well as the musicians😁

Hope I could catch the parade and musicians someday when travel restrictions are lifted. By the way, please note that I have subscribed to your KZbin channel as well !

Take the free Staten Island Ferry if you have time. You will not regret after viewing the Liberty Statue on your way in the ferry.

The sun rises at the opposite side of the lake in early autumn. Be sure to arrive at the viewpoint before the tourist crowd arrives. Late autumn or early winter are not preferable as all the golden foliage is gone and the village is in complete back-light in the morning.
