King Rhoam is the most hated character in the game. After the Queen died before she could teach Zelda how to unlock her power, Rhoam made Zelda pray for ten years straight. As we can see in the cutscene “Father and Daughter”, he is dismissive of her claims that she could not awaken her power and to find an alternate means to battle Calamity Ganon. Rhoam shot his only family down and basically called her a failure. This caused Zelda to become emotionally distressed and it blocked her from awakening her power, which was the final nail in the coffin. Because of his blatant ignorance and disregard towards his daughter, King Rhoam spearheaded the return of Calamity Ganon and inadvertently caused the greatest tragedy of Hyrule. All because he was a bad father.

It's just saddening watching Mipha in these knowing that she never got to fulfil her desire of being with Link. To witness somebody be declined of their feelings by death is truly unfortunate.

Not to mention, it doesn't help that Link was in love with Zelda (at least, I think). I'm noticing a pattern with all these powerful girls (except for Mipha) having a thing for Link and it always ends up unrequited: Ruto, Cia, and now Mipha, yet when it comes to more down-to-earth girls like Ilia and Paya, he's no less attracted to them than to Zelda. The guy can't stop attracting the big bad girls and falling for the poor girls of his village world..

Sobbing bc Link rubbed Zelda and Revali the wrong way because he was silent and emotionless but he felt he had to be strong all the time. Sobbing bc Mipha knew Link as a kid who was happy. Sobbing bc Urbosa noted how young Link, Revali, Zelda, and Mipha were for the task at hand. Sobbing because they didn’t get to be friends together in TOTK.
