what tripod and mounting setup were you using for your Sony rig?
@jonschellhardt3 ай бұрын
I'd have to get back with Streamline, the company that provided this rig. Or maybe I'll see a label in my footage when I get to editing the vlog. I was a part of the camera operator team. This specific set up was Streamline's property, so they set it up the way they wanted it. Stay tuned! haha. I'll try to get back to you when I have the info.

@@Ireland_maleighwait what? No magnets on the Sony. The camera I used for this video is the Insta360 GO3, the tripod for my Sony a7IV is the Peak Design tripod. I used their quick release system to go between backpack strap mount and tripod quickly.

I do light video work at my church. Not as much as I would like too. I really enjoy your videos and feel inspired. One thing I struggle with is filming someone when they are praying/worshipping. I don’t notice it as much when I am filming, but when I go to edit I noticed a lot of people are looking my way. I just don’t want to stop/get in the way of someone worshipping or praising. Is this something that you had to work through? Can you give me some advice?
@jonschellhardt5 ай бұрын
It took awhile for me to get used to it to the point where I feel I'm not signaling anything weird with my body language that makes people feel uneasy. Some of it is mental and you have to remind yourself that you're trying to capture something for people that aren't in the room. And that its OKAY. If you're still fighting in your head over whether its okay that you're doing what you're doing, its probably going to show in your body language. I've gone through rounds of this and gotten to a place where the second the shot gets spotted, or even if I start to feel like I'm about to be noticed by the person worshipping, I get out of there immediately. It's an instinct you'll develop over time, and its better safe that sorry. That being said, are you consistently evaluating if what you were doing was worth it? Sometimes I'll lean in for a shot and change my mind. Sometimes I'll decide its better to zoom in instead of getting close. And over time I'll feel out the situation and see how close I can get to the ideal shot before I feel like I'm invading someones space, and that's the line. I try to always practice being invisible. And of course that sounds like "duh", but you have to always work on keep you're environmental awareness up. You're also seeing me do this over the course of a week, so as the camp goes on, I get more comfortable doing certain things to the point where I'm clearly visible to everyone, but i just act normal. I'm there to capture the reels in a way that makes people feel like they were there. I'm being paid for this for the way I do it. That means I do it well, as well as being respectful to the people there. If you don't do both, don't expect to get another call. In your defense, its harder doing this for church because its such a sensitive thing and people are extremely critical of this. Maybe you're being looked at by people not praying? If so, they should be focused on praying lol. If its the people you're shooting, you need to work on being subtle and sneaky. Maybe back off distance wise for awhile and practice sniping your shots and slowly work back to being closer. It can also help to be in communication with your Pastor and other leaders about WHY you're doing what you're doing, and getting their okay. When you have your Pastor on your side, it helps a ton with that mental battle because you now have the head authority's blessing on what you're doing. So to recap: 1. Always be practing your ninja skills 2. Talk to the head authority and make sure you're staying in line 3. Do your absolute best within the limits set by your authority 4. Always wear black

God doesn’t care for instrumental worship.
@jonschellhardt8 ай бұрын
You literally have not read the whole Bible if you think that… Please read the psalms. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King. Psalm 98:4-6 Instruments.
@datgirl.ainsley8 ай бұрын
@@jonschellhardt Psalms is in the Old Testament. Christians are supposed to follow the worship under the New Testament laws. The Bible also says that instruments are man made practices and God created our voices we can sing just as well with. Going to church and listening for enjoyment and entertainment isn’t the main goal, it’s to praise God and not be the audience but make God “the audience.”
@jonschellhardt8 ай бұрын
So you’re saying you really believe the entire Old Testament is irrelevant?
@datgirl.ainsley8 ай бұрын
@@jonschellhardt I never said that so I’ll ask if you don’t put words in my mouth.
@jonschellhardt8 ай бұрын
Okay so.. that was a question for clarity. Calm down a bit please. I’m just trying to understand how you came to that conclusion. You said it’s Old Testament and. Christian are supposed to worship under the Mew Testament. And I’d argue if you’re going to take that stance, you need to be able to apply that logic across the board, which makes the OT irrelevant. I’d argue you’re putting words in peoples mouths by assuming this is all for entertainment. The lyrics are literally addressing God, saying “God, hear us from Heaven”. So i’m not seeing where you’re drawing the conclusion that this is entertainment. We will not agree that OT worship practices like musical instruments are now unbiblical, I believe the OT informs the way we understand the NT, then NT doesn’t just blanket-negate the OT.
