HERE NOTHING CAN TAKE OVER TIM HORTONS IN CANADA BUT I LOVE KRISPY KREME BEST FOR FLAVOR. THEY TRIED COMING HERE BUT FAILED.

Business reports tell us Krispy Kreme and McDonald's have joined forces. Donuts with your McMuffin, sir?
@HollywoodeatsordrinksitАй бұрын
Krispy Kreme is overrated. I can’t remember the last time I had one of better donuts 🍩. I know it’s been a few years. I prefer good old fashioned freshly made donuts from our local grocery store. They are way better than Krispy Kreme.

My uncle and mom worked at Britling downtown. Mom was a waitress. Uncle was hired after the boss asked if he could read.

One of my first jobs as a teenager was at a Mister Donut where I was taught how to make, fry and then glaze. There is nothing like a warm donut just recently glazed (any earlier and you'd burn your fingers). No wonder they're still a hit - I refuse to by any store bought donuts, thanks for the memories!

I had an Easy Bake Oven in the late 1960s or early 1970s when I was a child. I could only use it with parental supervision. I can remember saving up my weekly allowance to buy the cake mixes which were sold in packages of three mixes to a set. I outgrew the Easy Bake Oven when I was seven years old and in the second grade. By then I had started baking from scratch using the oven in the kitchen. I still had to save up my weekly allowance to purchase the ingredients but now I was purchasing flour, baking powder or baking soda, brown sugar, spices, etc.

It’s funny while watching this mall clip, I was eating a candy bar that has Carmel and a pretzel 🥨 inside of it, when she missioned the pretzel 🥨 company and started showing various pics of pretzels, I thought that was quite funny 😅

I worked at a Farrell's for 2 years in the early 1980s. It was in a mall in Murray, Utah. The mall remains but the Farrell's is long gone. I hated those stupid hats so, thanks for bringing that memory back... Not!

I miss orange julius. Grew up at the mall in the 80s/early 90s. Pizza dogs, a soft pretzel, and an apple pie julius. Good times. I'd give anything to go back.
All I gotta say is- why did you guys go with the "jizz splooge all over the entire screen" as your go to transition animation?

A reasonably priced, and with good food cafeteria back in the day would have seen many regular visits from me. Too bad for me, there simply weren't any cafeterias of any kind in my area during the years when I was regularly looking for meals out on a daily basis. Certainly, would have enjoyed that much more than the fast food I remember that I usually wound up with.

Britling Cafeteria in Birmingham was a Sunday staple. The term " beat the Baptists to Britlings" was comically used by Methodists to lobby for shorter church sermons.

I remember orange julius, hot sam pretzels, Woolworth. I lived near Luvonia Mall and Westland mall, where the had Hot Sam pretzels. Lots of changes to both those malls, especially after they closed Penneys and Sears. I miss the malls like they used to be😢

Farrell's was fun for kids but really obnoxious for adults, at least in the '70s - constant loud music and annoying loudspeaker announcements, along with the usual kiddie screams and other vocalizations.
