Very talented, this is very flowery, tropical, fine for men. Enjoyed the review. But side markers? Got to have those white dots. Can't tell on Amazon.

Is the Aklot soprano ukulele also good quality?
@RgTripleC Жыл бұрын
It is not really a baritone; it's a long-scale tenor. They are a half step down from standard uke tuning.

What size replacement tuners fit this Harmonia UKLL2 EQ ukulele? What type of replacement strings? The tuners are popping and slipping on mine. The low string is really loose, but tunes just loose. Anyone have that experience? Is there a fix?
@danjarpaconce3 жыл бұрын
What I would like to know is what type and brand of strings this ukulele uses, because I bought the same model, but it came with traditional nylon strings. And these caught my attention and I want to buy them to use with the instrument. Any information in this regard is appreciated.
@RWhite00243 жыл бұрын
The scale length allows for both tenor and baritone tunings. You can add either. Personally, I like fluorocarbons. Fremont, Worth, Living Water. All those are quality strings.

That is a nice sounding uke.I have seen a lot of people playing the Kmise i will give it a try.

How do u change the strings?
@willywose4 жыл бұрын
All the strings are tied together and it is cumbersome and time-consuming to replace strings. I did not like the string setup. So, I used a tuner hole reamer and reamed out the string holes and fitted tapered pegs to hold the strings. It took about 30 minutes to complete this little project. If anyone wants to see the project, contact me at [email protected] This is a nice sounding ukulele.

Thanks Daniel. Yeah, and perfect low action right out of the box. With most ukes I get, I'll usually have to take down the action some with my needle files. But this one didn't need any adjustment. They really did a great job on this one. Super easy to play.

Yes they are Aquila strings. I have one of these Concert Aklot Uke's. I believe Aquila are the only strings they use, even on their recent Bamboo Tenor release. They send a spare pack too as the reviewer said. Defo Aquila and they sound great!

Richard White I love it, too, but you are light years ahead of me, my friend. You have it in your soul. I’ll bet you could get some gigs right now! You should play a retirement community or assisted living facility... great places to get started...and fun, too. Contact their activities director. Mix in a little bit of singalong and you’ll be a hit.

I started with a cheapo one and found it fun, but the intonation was not too good. So I decided to get a similar Kmise uke to the one in this video, but with a more conventional design. It sounds awesome! The intonation is way better than the cheaper one. It's not perfect, but pretty good.

My GCEA baritone arrived last week from Kmise and has rapidly become my favorite ukulele. After checking it out for a couple of days I had to put it away for the Christmas present 🎁 it is to be. Looking forward to December 25th. Kmise makes a fine ukulele especially for the price. It is very plain with a nice satin finish and to my delighted surprise came with side markers and strap tabs. I added a padded gig bag and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Michael, glad to hear your Kmise collection have been good players for you. I agree, Kmise/Aklot make some great ukes. In terms of quality and value, for the price, you can't go wrong. I've been fortunate enough to have been included on their company's product testing through Facebook. And athough I've been reimbursed the cost of the three I've tested, it hasn't swayed my opinion on the brand overall. And that is, for the cost, they rival any other comparably priced uke on the market.

Mr Photorooster, yes I agree. Definitely a nice entry level brand. And I've seen their banjos before. Very affordable banjos in comparison to other brands. Do you have the all wood or the plastic drum model?
@photorooster88657 жыл бұрын
I have the maple solid wood. At around $80 you cant beat it. I did have to tighten the drum tension, but otherwise it came set up nicely.

Mine has a nice fiber textured head. There's one other brand even cheaper and it has a mylar head. I wouldn't recommend that one, many irregularities in manufacture.

quick question: you have had this now for over a year. How did it hold up? and if you had an opportunity to buy it again would you and would you get the acoustic electric version? thanks so much!!
@RWhite00247 жыл бұрын
Maria Calfa-DePaul, thanks for your question. I actually resold mine on EBay a few months ago. Honestly I wouldn't buy it again. It had a few issues out of the box, including high action and crooked tuners. If you're up to the challenge of tinkering around with it, I'd say maybe go for it. The quality for the money is OK. Hope this helps.
