Personally I do not care about continuity, especially given how messed up the main story was on Inquisition. Only thing I do hope is that the game does not have boring and repetitive rift closing like Inquisition did. Running around maps, closing those boring rifts was just such a pointless chore in Inquisition. RPGs should not be like that! If Veilguard has repetitive crap like that, that will be the biggest reason for not buying it.

It COULD have been interesting to make a game about Yasuke’s story. But these identity politics obsessed virtue signalling fools have no ability to handle nuance. He was essentially a slave handed around by monks to Oda Nobunaga. Yeah he was given a home and made a retainer but he was treated like a novelty or curiosity due to the time period. But these morons have to make false claims about their game being ‘historically accurate’ and have hip-hop music playing for his character. 🤦‍♀️

I dislike games that insult our intelligence. GoW Ragnarok for example. Woke aside, what pissed me about the game is that all the asinine melodrama in it made it feel like a cheap Italian soap opera. The low brow writing was insult to our intelligence. I know it was meant for kids but even so. Now GoT had excellent and mature writing. Even if it was bit rubbish as a game. Sadly, I do not see this maturity in the new game, as far it has been revealed. It feels like it was written for modern audiences.

I've been playing Dragon Age releases since DAO released in 2010. I'm also a DDD cup naturally (it's not nearly as fun as it sounds). Glad to know I'm nothing but a tourist. Wow. Just reinforces my desire not to buy this one. And it's not JUST hatred for women, it's also to prevent 'evil men' from 'sexualizing women' by making a large breasted or amble bottomed female player character because that's the height of evil....apparently. So they have helpfully ensured it won't be harmed by this alleged deviant because I obviously don't know what I need or want or like so they'll do it for me. Never mind women have been drooling over DA men since it was created. Me included. Anders. Fenris. Alistair. Cullen. Solas. Zevran. But guys can't drool over the women, that's bad. audio is a bit quiet, no biggie, i read the captions. Their hobby seems to be destroying other people's hobbies by forcing their weird fetishes into it, and it needs to be called out at every opportunity. Not a good marketing plan telling people NOT to buy your game. I for one can't wait to play this pile of shit on a 90% discount after Bioware tumbles and falls as the studio either gets assimilated entirely in EA, after 80% of the woke weirdos get fired and simply shuts down if EA decides that nothing, but the IPs are worth keeping. In a decade, they managed to become one of the most despised and mocked studios in the industry and for what is worth, I'll celebrate every single failure Western game devs have to offer, if nothing else, it's utterly amusing when your paycheck is not on the line.

This game is so woke, you have to choose your pronouns first and decide if your character has top surgery scars or not. Game is going to flop so hard.

Utter woke trash. DA was dying with Inquisition. This new game is just a re-animated corpse.

Everything that is wrong with the game was said by a gaming journalist within the first 5 minutes. No open world, can only play one character, very light on the tactical options, completely different art style from the previous games. People don't like change and this a drastic change. Place in the unnecessary woke messaging garbage and it adds up to being bad. If you remove all the woke stuff it's a game that is Dragon Age by name only.

I will be playing it a pre bought it,played about 5 hrs as a invite from a friend it's good ,it's really good first act (all we saw was the first act there's like 3 I'm told) is what we have seen its slow on the first few levels but once u get a few levels it gets so good.

Asmon is just a tourist not a fan as are the dudes who only like the first game,they arnt invested in the over arching story or gameplay.

im a big Dragon Age fan i even like the 2nd one.. most people dont like that one lol.. but yea this 4th Dragon age looks bad.. in the gameplay they show you the Pride Demon and he looks like a shiny rock.. but in the old games he looks really evil and cool.. and i also dont care for the Soles and Dread wolf story.. he was cool in inquisition but i was hoping it ended there..

My only issue is that they say it's for the modern audience..... How can they just sit here and say this when 1, 2, 3 was all made for us? If it was made for modern audience they would have made a whole different IP. Not just hijacked a current franchise.
