The truth is many are leaving the state not because of the life style they have chosen as the narrator claims. The reason people are leaving is because of home insurance rates. If you can find a home owners insurance company to take you as a new customer you will be paying outrageous premiums. I was planning on moving there until I did a little digging on what is going on in Florida. Now, no thank you.

Great video showcasing St. Pete. I definitely feel like it's worth mentioning elevation and evacuation zones because of this year's hurricane season. I looked at a map and most of downtown St. Pete is elevated enough, but living along the water such as with the home you just mentioned would give make me think twice. I think the current situation with the Rays is unfortunate; it was so convenient to get on a bike and just ride down the trail to get to a game. Tampa would never be able to provide such an amenity.

My wife and I jumped on it. We live in west Tampa mins from ybor city. Even more surprisingly is cheaper than living in chamblee, ga. Sooo glad and blessed to be here. It’s far better than St. Petersburg HOWEVER over the years this state is starting to get overcrowded, inflation and hurricanes have taken its toll , my plan is to move out I could never afford a home here. Shoot rent is only going up, Duke energy sucks, utility services suck, and I hear Tampa is no better with its services.

South Tampa got hit the worst with both Hurricanes. Flood zone A with 5 to 8 feet of surge. Lot of people sell there flooded homes as is.

Tampa not big enough to develop all these spread out areas, the whole Heights thing is questionable, Ybor bad reputation, Gas Worx is just a marketing thing ,its really just West Ybor, developer is just building a condo complex
