Saturdays is news to me ... I'm Catholic, Sunday is our day off, day of rest, holy day

Hello Alicia, how are you doing? I understand, Sunday is considered as a holy day among the Catholics. In the Bible, Sunday is called the Lord’s Day. Because, Lord Jesus resurrected on a Sunday. However, Saturday is the Day that God set aside as holy - for He rested on the seventh day from all His work. Have a wonderfully blessed day. Please let me know if you would like prayer for anything. I concur with almost all of what you are saying. I do have a question, ....you say we are to judge in order to avoid beatings by God ?? Can you please tell us the exact scripture that says God beats us to punish us ?

Blessings, Thank you for your questions. I referenced this Scripture concerning this matter. Luke 12:47-59 "The servant who knows what his master wants but is not ready, or who does not do what the master wants, will be beaten with many blows! But the servant who does not know what his master wants and does things that should be punished will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded. And from the one trusted with much,, I am not sure if my intentions came forth clearly…I meant, if we allow our lack of discernment to hinder us from doing what is given to us, we will most likely be beaten for it as the Lord Jesus gave a parable. I apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion.

Hello, I was jiust thinking about my love for Israel today. What an amazing God we have. I personally dont know a single non believer (barring two) who stand with Iisrael in the country I am from. Even my many of my co workers are anti semitic. And perhaps I would have been too had God not protected my heart almost 30 years ago. I have a very special place for jews and Israel in my heaart, as my papa has an unwavering love for jews and Israel. He had many friends, and the area I grew up had 1 synagogue and 3 Jeswish schools nearby. He used to talk so much about Israel and the 10 commandements, that's one of the few good memories i have of those days. I had jewsih friends growing as a teen and later too. It was only and only God who protect my heart and instilled a love for israel very early in life. It would have been so easy to buy into anti semitic narrative as more most media is left wing. But God protect my heart. Just wanted to share this part of my story 😊

I did fall backwards in the Spirit once, but the person praying for me did not touch me at all, he just stood in front of me praying for me, and then suddenly a whoosh came and I was thrown to the floor and then 'nailed' to it and then I spoke mumble jumble and the pastor came over and said, this is not speaking in tongues, and he drove out a spirit of confusion in me, and afterwards I felt ten feet tall and days and weeks after I felt the power of the Holy Spirit at home. It was at a FGBM meeting many years ago. It was all very powerful. A brother of mine who was with me, said that by witnessing this event a girl came back to Christ crying, and he himself had been speaking in new tongues the day after. So God was moving powerfully at that meeting.
