Rollbacks are not going to hurt you the ride will slow down in the launch area and then you'll get lunch again it happened to me one time it was terrifying😮😮😮

Rollbacks are perfectly Normal and actually supported and that wasn't near a roll back it's supposed to be like that

It is a near rollback Normally it takes 2 to 4 seconds up there Longer is either a near rollback or is one

It isnt realy as scary when you do a rollback since you dont have to experience the 40 foot Airtime hill And it also duels perfectly with the droptower. Its a Satisfying win.

The sound has nothing to do with the age of the coaster. Its just the wire carrying the train, as for hydraulic launches as this one a wire needs to be attached to the train at the start of the launch track that will then pull it violently using hydraulic pressure allowing it to clear that speed and height quickly. Thats what makes the sound at the beginning, and the rest of the sounds you hear is just normal coaster sounds.

Went there just yesterday on May 28th of this year and Kingda Ka rolled back twice in one day! I was on Kingda Ka when it rolled back the first time and it was quite the experience 👍🏾

I have ridden this thing many times (probably about 20 times in the last 13 years). The scariest thing I’ve experienced (yes, scarier than a rollback) is a very balanced stall right at the top, and the coaster was so well placed on top that neither the back nor the front would pull the coaster for a few seconds. Then slowly, the coaster started moving forward, very very slowly as i see the 450+ foot drop in front of us. It was the longest 4 seconds of my life as we slowly gained momentum and completed the drop ! That was the scariest. Every time it functions correctly, it really isn’t that scary if you’re used to riding rollercoasters.

I would be absolutely terrified if a rollback happened. Even though I know it’s normal/safe- I don’t give a shit. My brain would go straight to malfunction. And going backwards obviously
