If there were not active hives in the bee yard then you could think about sanitizing what you bought. I know a guy who bought 20 bee hives and all 200 of his other hives died within 2 years. For the hive bodies, wood frames and supers, etc. after scraping clean use a propane torch to slightly burn the insides then spray with Starsan mixed with water as the label says, let sit for 10 minutes the spray off with water. For the plastic foundation pressure wash all the nasty wax off, dip in very hot water to remove residual wax, let soak in bleachy soapy water overnight, rinse and let soak in 5 gallon bucket of mixed starsan overnight, rinse with water, then paint with melted bees wax so the bees will take to the frames. My hives still cannot keep a new swarm alive for a year so I am doing what I described above to have what is still usable after years of no bees.

I haven’t gotten to go camping a whole lot but I remember when I drove from Indianapolis (where I live) to Minneapolis I saw so many beautiful areas of campgrounds driving through Wisconsin. I totally would go camping up there if I could, there was a lot of great scenery off I-94 the whole way through the state especially west of Madison

@@JessShort I’m not into the cold weather at all (heck I don’t like how it gets even here sometimes) but visiting would be great. As much of a city person as I am I still like getting away from everything too. I remember going by Wisconsin Dells, stopping at Black River Falls, and going by Eau Claire before I made it to the Twin Cities. Crazily enough when I went out there I actually took that 9 hour drive to see my very first friend from when I first started my KZbin channel and at the time her and I knew each other for 11 1/2 years (now 14 years) and we did get to meet in person.

I don’t have motion sensor lights but I have security cameras all over my home. I live in a one bedroom trailer and I’ve had my share of capturing crazy and odd stuff, actually even have my own playlist called Home Security Camera Footage. There’s cats that are around my neighborhood and one time I heard a couple of them fighting in front of my home. After they stopped fighting they were staring at each other for 5 minutes.

@JessShort2 ай бұрын
I have always been a bit leery of used bee stuff but couldn’t pass the deal up! The hives had been left unattended for a few years. When I went to pack them all up there were no signs of bees anywhere - just wasps, and evidence of wax months. I let them sit through a winter before cleaning any out in an effort to clear out any pests that wouldn’t make it through the season. I’ve used some without issue and sold quite a few.
@Ziggysbees2 ай бұрын
@@JessShort For pests it's ok to freeze and feel good about it but American foul brood can be there for decades and longer. I understand the deal but sometimes it's not always a given that all is good, but I do hope all is. Take care.

@@JessShort 3 years. Last year we got 1 5 gal bucket of honey from 6 colonies. This year we got 10 5 gal buckets totalling 545 lbs. I watched the Bee Whisperer and used his DeMarre setup to prevent swarming. I used David Burns system to max out forger bees. I counted back from the start of my flow 42 days and started building brood from that date resulting in a boatload of bees just as our flow started. Hope this helps.

I just found your channel and it’s so crazy how you joined on September 26th and I joined on September 25th, just of course you joined a year before I did. I was 15 when I joined (I’m 29 now) and so much has changed over the years. Remember when you could message people, have a friends list, and customize your channel background? I used to have a background showing the skyline of Los Angeles at night and the text colors for everything else was bright enough for good contrast. Now while I’ve never even visited California (I live in Indiana) I’ve always been a Laker fan so I wanted to show it a little extra. Channel comments used to be a thing as well but sadly they’ve had that gone for a while too. I know that once the messaging features got taken away, a bunch of people lost their friends from that.

I went to Sally’s to get stuff to remove the blue from my hair. The stylist there told me to leave and get “color oops” to remove it. At that moment I knew, she didn’t know anything. Color oops does not remove blue. The woman who knows everything wasn’t there that day

Aka asilin (I think it was her) said colour always remains brighter at the bottom because we don't don't focus on washing it there as much as the top of our head😁 I realised I've answered this years later hahah
@LunaTheLoon4 жыл бұрын
Uhm, idk about her, but I use shampoo all over my head, not just at the top on the parting. 😂 Sunlight lightens your hair over time, and it won't catch the hair underneath, that's part of the reason why hair looks more washed out on the top than it does in the neck-area. ☺️
@megan54454 жыл бұрын
@@LunaTheLoon me too, lately color has been sticking to my root! 😂 At thr very top
@LunaTheLoon4 жыл бұрын
@@megan5445 that's pretty normal, since your hair is the healthiest at your roots. The "older" the hair gets, the more damaged it will get through heat, pollution and friction, which causes the dye pigments to "fall out" of your hair faster. :)

I had a similar situation happen. I purchased from another company a health and beauty pallet. The manifest was included what was left out was how everything in the pallet was used. Tooth brushes, electric razors it was disgusting. I couldn't believe these items were being resold instead of trashed. Some of the electric razors had hair all over them and the electric toothbrushes had toothpaste still on them. I don't understand why people even return items like that. I filed a claim and was refunded but that was all it took for me to give up on buying customer returns. It's sad because I think companies still get a lot of good and useful returns that they could resell but it makes no sense why they just throw anything and everything in your Box especially because reselling items like that is dangerous and a health concern.
