THANK YOU for your great explanation on threads! I live in Maine and have been going back and forth with yarn and you helped solve it!

I disagree. The larger needles do not make the demonstration more clear. I’d prefer no larger than a 5.5 mm. The gigantic needles and bulky yarn are clunky. However, I appreciate your time for the demo.

Hello :) I just recently found the magazine online, the website is a perfect example of how to do it. Clear, easy to navigate and full of interesting things without unneccessary blingbling. My favourite is to chose a category, say sweaters, and then scroll back to the oldest patterns. This is a time capsule. Marvellous. Thank you so much for this! The love you put in evety detail shows.

Hi, thanks for this guidance. Since my pattern doesn't give the size measurements/# of cast on stitches, it would be great to get that help as well. For example, for a 22" head circumference, how many stitches to cast on for a 20" hat? Did I make a search and determine that way? Much appreciated 🧶

Your camera is too far away visibly for us see what you are doing: Also the position of the camera is taping you in a side position AND another problem we cannot see because yr hands are covering yr demonstration. The instructions are good: But we cannot see !!

Your reassuring side comment of saying "It's perfectly legal" is tantamount to my family's saying, " According [or that's not according] to Hoyle" though the thing about which Dad, his card playing buddy my oldest brother, or Mom is speaking, is usually not anything to do with playing cards, but instead, making a joke about something that went wrong. Btw, Literally wrote the book on games such as poker. Sometimes it can just be characterizing the efficient auto who made up the rules for swinging a hammer, or gluing a drawer front, or a dovetail joint, raking leaves efficiently....

I've often used an I-cord edge at the end of a row that creates the top edge of a shawl and found that it tends to bind the fabric so there is less stretch. Usually, I just make the stitches really loose so there is enough give on the edge. Adding the yarn over should keep that tightness from happening, yes?

Good morning, I've researching this, but cannot seem to understand how to proceed. My pattern calls for a CR8L stating "slip next 7 sets to cable needle CN, p1, then (k1, p1) 3 times, k1 from CN". Can anyone please help?

Thank you so much for this info wrt making hats that fit! My pattern only says to cast on the number of stitches depending on the size (sizes 1,2,3,4 and 5). Pattern Comment says “to fit averaged sized baby’s head.” I’m making size 3 so I hope the size 3 hat fits! There is no indication of measurement to accompany the sizes. 😂 Maybe if I knit the band then measure it and compare it to my grandson’s head measurement I will have a better idea of how it will fit and may have to adjust accordingly.

Hello Kate. I am hoping to add cables just one 16 stitch pattern to a plain sweater. Am i right in thinking that adding a cable pattern to a plain sweater will make the sweater tighter?? Is there a way to counteract this.

I've watched several videos and you are the only person to cover my question/concern. When knitting the first part of the cable from the left needle, snug up the stitches to prevent holes. Others say the holes on the sides of the cables are normal which I don't like. Thank you for covering that issue! 🥰
