That would have to be about the best that I've ever seen that area look in a crossing video. Beautiful, and I'm not usually a huge fan of deserts. Thanks for the video.

Nice to see a 4WD vid without blaring rock music....I'll be on this track in a week or so in my OKA truck...and btw I also have an "Effie" in which I did a few French Line xings....nice to have that 160L tank even if it's not diesel!

I'm sold on the idea Gary! It's something that's be playing on my mind for a while now. I have a vehicle on order and a plan to get it ready, tested and settled for next year when I'll finally get to be alone in the desert. My search has brought me to your channel and fate to this video. The line about the trepidation crossing the first dune is the bit that sold it. That's the rush, the excitement I desire. The connecting with nature, capturing of post card photographs, isolation and out and out wonder at the beauty are all cherry's. Good on ya mate, you've gained a new subscriber.

We saw you leave that afternoon and left on the same trip the next morning. we had hired 3 x 2man plastic canoes and were hoping for a leisurely Easter weekend with our girlfriends. we had to portage everything except the muncher, got absolutely hammered, lost all our spare paddles and only just made it in time to get picked up at jackadgery. it was a massive slog haha.

How is bikepacking with ebike compared to Regular bikepacking...
@GaryTischer
@GaryTischer 3 ай бұрын
You are limited by range with an ebike & you really need the motor for hills as the ebike weighs 12kg more than a std bike. I take 2 batteries which gives me about a 100km range. Other than this limitation it is a great way to travel & a way to explore places on foot when you get out. Climbing Jagungal for example.

Check out the genuine 1939 b&w filming of C.T. with other scientists + camels. C.T. Madigan was an amazing man of strength, courage and stamina, coupled with his exceptional thirst for knowledge that led to stellar academic performance culminating in a D. Sc. Oxford. Oh, don't forget he was a mere 6' 3", served his country in France, was on Mawson's Antarctic expedition and led the recovery mission 1 year later.
