Could I run xynotal front and rear for more speed or is the xynotal up front going to be sketchy?

@tristwallace i can't see a reason why you can't, seen plenty do it on trail bike setups, the sides are still very aggressive. If you are interested the enduro supersoft release should be in the new year. an enduro super soft xynotal front would be beneficial as the soft one are still a pretty firm rubber.

@LifeofScottDenneyАй бұрын
Depends on what you compare it to I guess, compare to a double down or an exo+ it is harder as the casing is much harder and doesn't stretch. It is hard to get on most rims but far from impossible, I guess that's why people say it's rare to burp a continental though.

Why i am holding off on Conti for right now, no 2.5 or 2.6 for Front specific tires. Feeling like they missed the mark there. Being 73" tall and 220 lb rider weight, the 2.5-2.6" front tires definitely help improve cornering for me. 2.4 F/R is just a deal breaker for me, no matter how grippy they are. Balancing on smaller width tire makes a huge difference in feel and turn in.

I got kryptotal supersoft dh fr+re and I'm blown away. I came from maxxgrip assegai fr and dhr2 re with cushcore trail inserts. No need for cushcore with the continentals cause the casing is super thick, not to mention better that maxxis across the board. You're right about the lugs having a lot more support, they dig into loose pack wayyy better and don't squirm on hardpack like maxxgrip. The rolling resistance is noticeably faster. For being cheaper than maxxis, performing better, looking better, and not coming with the maxxis "death wobble", it's a deal for me. I just wish they made supersoft in more widths and casings, crossing my fingers!

Hey mate, loved the review, for such a small channel (similar to mine xD) you expained things better than many bigger ones out there. Now to my question :) I've used Michelin DH22 and 34 combo, loved the grip but not the dragginess. Now I'm on Assegai and DHR2 combo, but they don't give me enough confidence on wet-ish slippery terrain, dry seems to be absolutely fine. So I'm contemplating what to do now, do I go for Conti Kryptotal rear and Kryptotal Front (enduro casing, softer on the front), or maybe for new Michelin WIld Enduro MS front and MH at the back, or even new Michelin DH22 and DH16 at the back. Have you tried any of Michelins and if so, how would you compare them to Contis? Same question to anyone readin comments, help bro out :D Thanks!
@LifeofScottDenney3 ай бұрын
Hey mate, cheers for the reply. I haventtried any michelins yet, they're very high on my list but a few things have set me back. The tyres you've mentioned do have high amount of drag and weight so for my locals I haven't tried them. I was really looking forward to the MH, MS tyres and to run the new rear specific except they don't make or haven't imported 27.5 rears so I can't run them with my mulletwheelset. Extremely disappointed. As for the wet weather question it is a hard one, I don't think anything with grip we'll it rocky/roots wet stuff that isn't mechanically minded,such as the argotal. That is a tyre that's given me far more confidence than the assegai in the wet. You'd definately want something with mechanical grip over rubber traction, I havemt personnaly used the kryptotals in such conditions but I'd imagine they perform similarly to an assegai. I've used my argotal at cairns in wet weather through roots etc and thought it was brilliant so I'd imagine your michellin pairing would be similarly as good. It's all give and take, best bet is a wer specific front imo.
@S1ckb0t3 ай бұрын

@LifeofScottDenney3 ай бұрын
@@S1ckb0t yeah tubeless, downhill casing is pretty thick and stiff so you can go pretty low. Full traction you can go down to 18-20psi, but I run 22psi front and 24psi rear now for abit more speed on my local trails.

@LifeofScottDenney3 ай бұрын
Cheers mate, but hey I've tried alot of tires and nothing is really worth a change without being completely wrong. The DHR is a great tyre and I'm currently on one. The conti's just have a much longer life and are a little faster. In hero dirt I feel the maxxis comes out in all out grip but on loose over hard it's a pretty even battle. Every brands main difference seems to be how the casing reacts and feels, I think you should just wait for it to wear out but sometimes a new set of socks feels as good as a holiday is you know what I mean.

@LifeofScottDenney3 ай бұрын
Hey mate, I do believe the SQL is still on point. It is not exactly loud compared to what you might think, mainly like this to play low well. I'm currently redesigning the setup to run 1 of them so I can have some boot back. I originally wanted to run some 8's aswell. I had one and the bass was really nice. If you look into my other video on these it might be slightly informative but the space required to make these work the way they show if large, you'd be looking a 1.8cu/ft +port per sub minimum. Any smaller and the output isn't work the power to them. I bought these is the factory alpine box's and the output was horrible, worse than my 2 rockfords p1's on 800w and these had 1600w, they are such a big woofer they displace alot so the box konda had to go up with them, 2 8's would be neat as if you need to work with less space. Hope that makes sense.
