God allows all this stuff to happen because he is trying to get our attention. But when we come to him and are born again, he uses things to show us our sins and to test our faith, and to keep us close to him. But God has no control over the wicked. He has control of their father , the devil. Jesus is using all the evil in the world to bring us to him. We dont know ourselves, but God knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what is good for us and what isnt. He is our car manuel. His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our peth. God forces nothing onto us. But the devil does. Satan rules the world with fear, to force us to do or say something thst isnt right. God gives us a free will choice. Its better to suffer with God in our lives, than it is to suffer with out him in our lives when satan attacks us. God is merciful, but Satan shows no mercy. God daid we have to go through much tribulations ( troubles) to enter the kingdom of heaven. Narrow is the way he says. That means going through troubles and these things are tests for us. God is constantly testing us, to see if we will remain faithful to him or fall away. He doesn't allow to come on us , more than we can handle, with his help. The terrible things that happen in our lives are firey trials. Gid says my people will not come to me in times of peace, so i have to allow something to happen to get their attention. The things happening in the world in the natural world and in the spiritual world and the political world is all fullfing prophecies. These are the footsteps of an approaching God. Get ready. Get ready, Get ready!!

This is a blasphemous perversion of the Gospel. This isn’t Christianity. It’s moralism with a couple scriptures thrown in and misinterpreted. “If you love me, keep my commandments.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ ““You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Teaching people to disregard the 10 commandments and just love, is so wrong. I pray that God opens your eyes to the truth. This is leading people down the broad road to hell. It’s not love. Love is telling the truth. If you love Jesus, you love what he loves and hate what he hates. If you love Jesus you keep his commandments. You need to repent. Praying for you and your congregation.

God is always in control, we are just the connection He is using to share our relationship with Him with them.

I pray for the pastors and congregation of this church that God opens their eyes to the truth. This is not it. This is a distorted, misinterpreted, politicized view of the gospel. It’s a false gospel, that leads a congregation to the broad road. The Judas kiss. Submitting to the culture is not something a pastor should ever recommend to their congregation. The Bible says the opposite. Teach these people about true sin and true repentance instead off these empty platitudes fueled by political and social agendas. Lord please help these people.

I’m praying for you Phil. That God opens your eyes to the truth. This sermon is a perversion of scripture. It condones the things God hates. It warns nobody of the destructive nature of sexual immorality. It invites people to commune with Christ are in open opposition of his teachings with no call for an examination of the heart, drinking judgment on themselves as the Bible says. This is the false doctrine the Bible warns us about. I also pray for everyone in the pews listening to this false teaching that God may open their eyes as well Matthew 7:13-14 For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

The man embodied goodness. He was a great professor and mentor. He taught me to be unashamedly strong in my faith in the Lord and taught me to speak when the Holy Spirit makes it necessary. So many lessons I had learned from him in college and afterwards. He was always insightful, challenging, and direct. I have no doubt the Lord has welcomed him home, with well done good and faithful servant. Thank you Dr. Brewer, rest now with the prince of peace.

To start your sermon title reads what it means that Christ died for you but then you said what it means that Jesus died for you and apparently you are saying Christ and Jesus are the same thing. I am amazed that so few Christians DO NOT know what Christ means nor what the word Christian means. May I share with you what I know in regards to both meanings in order to help clarify the foundational truth that may help in the future. The origin of the English word Christ-- Old English = Chist from the Latin = Chistus from the Greek= Khristos- Christos From the Hebrew = Masiah - Messiah from the Egyptian = Karast - or KRST and they all mean To Anoint a dead body by first pouring and then rubbing or smearing a Sacred Oil over the body in preparation for resurrection from the dead. That Death is in reference to the Conscious mind= soul that the first Adam chose TO LIVE BY and that resulted in the fall from Faith in God's saving Grace. The first Adam Chose to live out of the lower beastly nature of flesh and blood and needed resurrection back into Christ consciousness and righteousness in order to regain Spiritual Wisdom and Understanding, Gods counsel and power, and knowledge and fear of the lord. Sin means as you say to miss the mark of these 6 manifestations that RECREATES a person in the Image and likeness of the Creator GOD. To confirm read Isaiah 11:1-3 The Holy Spirit is that Sacred Anointing Oil that rebirths the fallen consciousness of the first Adam back to Grace through a change of mind and heart called repentance. The only way that can take place is by presenting your self a living sacrifice daily as the only reasonable Worship that will transform a person. Romans 12:1-3 Once a person does that and is Anointed with the Oil of gladness they will need no man to teach them because the Anointing auction will teach, guide, and comfort as promised. At least that is what I read in 1st John 2:27 & Gospel of John 14:26 and 16:13 The power of the 6 attributes of the Spirit anointing is why the Disciples were called CHRISTIANS . Spell the word Christian and then remove the a and it spells CHRIST - IN - You the Hope of Glory, they were called Christian because of who they were not because of what they did. They were Saint's because they reflected the Glory and likeness through and with the Spirit of Holiness that was living in them. In 2 John 7-10 it say's if you do not have the single doctrine of the Christ Anointing you are not of God. Just a few word to help in time of need. Grace peace and mercy to all who desire it AMEN
