@@purpleheartsoulja it’s honestly not as bad as the TCG since cards like terraforming are banned in MD. MD even gave you Ghost Belle which also can stop their GY and OTK plays. It’s not hard to play the deck. But it’s clear who knows how or play the deck and who can’t. I talk with a lot of people and players and regionals and YCSs. The big consensus is the ones who buy and play the deck because it’s cheap will miss OTK lines or fail to break boards. Where a competent player will alway OTK if the option is available.

@@MAKERSPOTS in master duel or the TCG? They’re both strong decks in each game. Fiendsmith and Fiend Link Yubel is very strong and has decent MUs for the game right now. Yubel is only slightly power crept in the TCG but still a top 5 deck. Mostly due to the Fiendsmith engine being powercrept by Azamina.

@@MAKERSPOTS no worries yeah that Fiendsmith package is still up there in value. I’ve been a huge yubel advocate in MD and TCG. Deck is super neat and Phantom is super easy to summon multiple times. It going to 1 ida diner and a balance measure for a best of 1 format. Yubel is just the newest iteration of Fiend Link.

@@DanteMan8v3 during the duelist cup I was around top 10000 globally and ran into a Lightsworn Tear FTK list. They can FTK if you Maxx C them or they can FTK you with submersible carrier Aero Shark and I took lethal watching their whole combo. In a Bo1 format all that matters is winning a singular game. If they win the coin toss and let you go first, may as well make them regret it.

@@theredraven7877 I think they’re heavily carried by their past. They were funny when they did trendy as relatable Yugi boomer stuff. Their stuff now is too stale and meta. Or when Paul tries to talk about the game in a serious manner it’s always half-cooked. Or their satire is too scathing to be taken as a joke. I know they made several jokes about the game dying and my least favorite “yugioh is a luxury” when they changed a video name because of comment backlash. For what it’s worth I am making a top 10 yugituber list after I make a different top 10 list that many people have been waiting for. Just been busy traveling, running into accidents, playing in the duelist cup, or traveling to events. Sorry for the late reply.

So I'm a bulk fiend, I like getting crap loads of the same bad cards. But the tin is the first time I think I'm not gonna buy a product, because all the commons are commons I already have, and they aren't even archetype stuff. Frankly, I'm disappointed that only four cards in total were downshifted into common. I wish they just went with, make all the supers from the sets in a year commons or other notable commons, having all the URs as the secret rares from the years sets, and having the ScRs be the Ultras and other notable cards from the year

Coming form an mtg background, I can understand the want for more commons or non-foils/holos. Since my favorite rarities are basically “glorified commons” like DT, starfoil, shatter foils, and even the unique ones like mosaic Rares too. I like the rarity upgrades especially the Infernoble stuff and the random memento field spell too. I would’ve loved to seen Tearlament cards get rarity upgrades but the Mannadium and Chimera stuff was very welcoming.

This is my best Yugioh memory: I was losing a game with my friend, he was beating me with two strong monsters and using cards that drstroyed ny deck so I couldn’t build up a defense. After nagging me on I stayed calm and told him I’d beat him. Of course he didn’t believe me. My lasgg to card happend to be BLS I summoned it and attacked twice for game. He got so made he had me go home after

This is one of my first memories in Yu-Gi-Oh. When I was in middle school my brother brought me to my first ever local and built me a BA deck to play in the tournament. I was missing some cards in the deck like one more tour guide and one more graff. About round 3 I beat a guy with some time before round 4, he talked about my deck and I said I was missing some cards. He told me he will trade his tour guide for my solemn judgement in my deck. Thankfully my brother was next to me and when I asked he he instantly said "NO!". I told the guy no and we went to round 4. After round 5 I heard there was another new player in the store at the time who was buying packs. They somehow pulled Borroload Dragon in one of the packs, this was back when the card was +$100. When I heard about it I went up to them so I could see the card. They then told me they traded it for a Blue Eyes White Dragon. Me not knowing any better thought that was a good trade, that was until my brother went up to talk to them and tell them the card was a recent reprint worth less than $10 and everyone had at least one in their trade binders. The same guy who wanted to trade his tour guide for my solemn judgement was the same guy who traded them their $100 card for his $3 reprint. Needless to say I never trade with anyone without going on the TCG player to check the prices.

Honestly I just recently got into master duel meta so I didn't know about the story of Ryan, I only voted for Team 7 because Jessie Kotton was on the team. After knowing the story behind Ryan, now I'm glad I voted for them.

@@Bananamonmon to quote one of the best players in our area. “I went to locals seeing Yubel, Snake Eye, and Tenpai. Now I get to go to locals and play against fresh new decks like Yubel, Snake Eye, and Tenpai.”. I always like to play a new deck for every format because I’m weird like that. But I’m going to play something interesting for this upcoming weekend before regional and YCS season starts again for worlds. But going forward I’m torn on one of three decks to play this format pre-ROTA and post-ROTA.

@@clownwrld7 it is also a lot easier to read cards now. So cards can be a bit more dynamic and most of the cards’ text are conditions or clauses. There are some older cards that have one or two effects that are now unlimited.

@@clownwrld7 no it’s understandable s I went through the same thing. I played through the Goat era and GX era. Then didn’t come back until a little after YCS 100 from Long Beach and then up until PRIO format. Then came back into it in EXFO during Pendulum Magician format so a 5-7 year gap depending on how generous you want to measure it. So I definitely understand the hurdle of reading things and trying it keep up with everything. So I try to simplify things to meet in between of newer players, veteran players, casual players, and competitive players. It’s another reason why I joined the judge program too to help newer players get into the game and ingratiate themselves into the game with ease. Since there’s a heavy distinct lack of that in the community and especially on KZbin. It’s actually a lot of projects and scripts I’m working on now. Plus having competitive insight helps as well haha

Tbh apollusa should have been forbidden years ago. Just to ez with current meta to get 4 generic negates and with snake eye ash it's worst. Now if it said like *need 1 wind monsters + monsters it wouldn't be as bad.

@@QualityBuddy I don’t think appo is as strong as people think, but I do agree she streamlines combos and protects combo lines. It’s easy to turbo her out as a 5th summon and plays around Nib. I personally am ok with Omni negates and generic boss monsters, but it also simplifies ED lineups too. In a way it is unhealthy for the game. But also unfortunate it was the chase card on RA02.

@@DanteMan8v3 I wouldn’t be so sure. There is a small group in the BA community who do believe in the unlimit to Armageddon Knight, Grass, and the return of grass. Plus two BA monsters is full Fiendmisth combo.

The fake YGO twitter page made a post, later deleted it. The intent was to troll Konami by pretending it's Konami, and mentioned a horse vomit image being used in comments. I checked; That's a lie. (This last short sentence had to do with the time the FAKE post was uploaded. After that time frame, it became true because, as said below...) People took it and ran with it, because we're unhinged at times, especially when it's the Forbidden & Limited list for the TCG.

@@runicdustin4123sadly some players; whether unplayers or actual players, are quite unhinged and ran with an unfunny joke. The seagull banlist one was cute at least but the horse one was unnecessary and immature even if it was a case of “solidarity”. But the banlist doesn’t affect worlds or any event this weekend so I’m happy about Yubel, Rescue-ACE, and Memento. So things are cool with me. Looking forward or making a quick short on the banlist and explain why.

@@alexanderwinter6564 I do agree that the handshake was clearly BM. It’s why I mostly focused on the parody of how fast can you simplify a deck profile. Since I don’t need a 9 minute explanation of how Runick cards or LP cards work when I too play the game on a competitive level even rather enjoy the Runick archetype as well as a control deck. A lot of people have commented on the community about “judge incompetence” and that has been a huge factor why I got into judging for my local community, helping players and using KZbin as a platform, but also to make judges look good and make a better and engaging image for them. Also, I the future, please refrain from cursing or practice cursing. I don’t tolerate that in general and as a judge. But I do understand the community’s frustration with this controversial moment.

@@Bananamonmon considering Runick opts to not have a battle phase, and Carlo didn’t have that many HTs in his hand, it’s likely he would’ve had all gas and just won or got in any attack and win in LP from there. Ibra played just to gain LP and pass on a weak end board. I also miss old time rules and going to turns. They did that for the World Points Playoff.

@@shocknawe so in sanctioned tcg events there’s 45 minutes per round. End of the round procedures in the tcg are different than the ocg with very rare exceptions. For the most part, after time is called, the current phase is played out; typically main phase, after that whoever has more LP at the end of the phase wins that game. Typically if players are going to time, that means they’re in game 3. Which does result in some people intentionally slow playing to force out a win or a draw. So cards that can alter LP like Lacrima, Dogwood, and Ghost mourner can single handedly win game 3 and more often than not, win a match by themselves. Master Duel also has time rules for irl events and some online events that also follow the same end of round procedures with “End of Phase” and whoever has has more LP wins that game too.
