Cory just watched this for SSS and I had to come to the comments to get my answers. I saw it as a bruise on her arm and perceived abuse from the father thus leading her to “kidnap” the girl.

When I read in the description this episode was going to be about memory problems I already knew it was going to make me uncomfortable, this topic always makes me fearful and have existential crisis, and I was in fact not disappointed. Great horror film!
