I think instead of the word joke, he could have used the word riddle.

Correct me if I am, our Jewish brothers have a custom of giving their first son a double portion of inheritance. case in point when you look at the division of Israel after Joshua, there was no area of Joseph, but there are areas for Manasseh AND Ephraim, the sons of Joseph. I see this as God wanting the Jewish people being given the word both in what we call the old testament, and the new testament. When I first studied the Book of Romans I read "to the Jews first . . ." and I got jealous because Jewish Christians were choose from both the Old testament and the New Testament. This went on for 6 months or so and the God said Maryellen it doesn't matter that I chose the The Jewish People both before Christ and after He came, I chose you and them now you only need to be chosen once.

I love Dr Seth Postell. I have a Tanakh and I correct the translation as he interprets the correct meaning of the words. Remember God is in the Word. If I’m not going to have a correct Understanding of the Word I may and I have missed God’s message. ❤ God led him to us.

The corresponding of the Old and New Testaments shown here are most excellent. As I was watching I had an epiphany, the passover God gave to the Israelites was given by his grace through their faith in what he said and not by anything they did to earn it. The testimony of Jesus is truly the spirit of prophecy as the entire Old Testament reveals. Praise YAH!
